Eh, I could skip the elevators myself... It's healthier to take the stairs anyway. 🤓
I did have agoraphobia for years. It got to the point where I could not leave the house without a "safe" person. I wouldn't walk to the mailbox or mow the lawn unless my ex was outside with me working on something. Thank goodness, it went away... or I would never have been able to take care of my parents over the last 2 years or live on my own.

@SW-User That must have been awful, I’ve often had waves of a panic attack but nothing like that. I think tenacity pays off in the end in overcoming it. Not easy I'm sure.

@BalthazarBlake For me, agoraphobia is a byproduct of CPTSD, which is difficult to "cure".
It took 8 years of living alone and doing everything alone before it improved. There's a part of me that still wants to triple lock the doors and hide at home, but I no longer have the luxury of being able to get anyone to help if I do.

@SW-User You've done very well, then. Made you a stronger person even if the tendencies are still inside you.

@ShadowWorker 🥸 Who, me?
Queendragonfly · 31-35, F
According to my therapist. Humans 😂
The complex explanation is I suffer from Complex PTSD and because of traumas I have an extreme life or death fear for other people. Which is why I can get random panic attacks or flashbacks in public. My body register other people as a life threat.
I might not be cognitively aware but bodily I'm in a war zone

No. It's not a phobia to fear the ecocidal project Murka loves so much.

Heights, tight spaces, and worms on the pavement after the rain.
A few!
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
Not exactly... Snakes I avoid at all times. But not so scared of them to freak out and bolt if one slithered too close to me.

Spiders
KA9ha · 31-35, M
@meggie spiders ???why,,
they are lovable hexapeds and rid you off a lot of pests like flies, mosquitoes, ,bees and wasps ,beetles as well as a host of sicknesses, of course ,,,there are some which are not acceptable too like other pets.
See my pet ,, i take him for a walk in the grass every day ...

samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@bijouxbroussard i do not need it to be extreme. I can't get up on a stepladder without fear.
