What would you say to someone in palliative care?

Apparently husband's aunt is in palliative care and he wants us to send a message to her via video because we can't visit her. Her and I were not really close. We had a falling out when she criticised me a lot when she was visiting us with my MIL when my girls were still babies, but for the past year we're sort of okay. I just have no idea what to say. Please help.

just have a normal conversation, as if she was not in palliative care.

Just be nice, say what she wants to hear. Doesn’t have to be long, just brief and sound genuine.

I just said I'm grateful for the good times we had together, the kids love her & we all love her. I'm not good at doing videos like those especially sad ones. We're not really close so I don't even know if she'll watch it.

You're sending her support and letting her know you and your family are thinking of her during this difficult time. Mention some strengths she might have to help her.. If you know of any.

Whatever you say let it be from your heart. Show her that all is well and forgotten between you and her.

If anything do it for yourself ms. M. (Hugs)

Keep it loving and average. Tell her you're keeping in her in your prayers, ask her is she would like you to pray with/for now.

Ask her if she needs help with her pillows.

@CestManan It's the merciful thing to do.

@Allelse It's just, it's just so touching how you think with your heart 😢.
I mean it really is touching people in special places.

Oh gyod I hate this I am crying.

@CestManan Well when you see an old, sick animal with no quality of life then it's time to put them down. Maybe, growing up, I saw too many of my own pets reach that state of total, living misery!!!! And I just cant bare to see it. Which is why I could never work in a nursing home, I'd be like "Why are you bothering to keep them alive? Just get the pillow already".
tell her exactly what you would tell if you were able to visit her.
some nice words wouldn't hurt even if she was cruel to you before.

Ehh, you don't owe her anything honestly.
