How do you pick the style you cut your hair?

I find photos of women with hair texture similar to mine (naturally curly and fine), pick one that I like, then show that to my stylist.

Most of my life it had to cover these two terms: current and outrageous.

Simplicity and easy to maintain.
I keep hair 1/2 millimeters long.

I always just cut it straight, no bangs, no layering, nothing, because it's the one style that needs minimum attention and I just don't want to risk having bad hair days. Plus it's easy to just braid it before going to sleep and done.

It’s always been short, then I just let the stylist to her thing. But I totally understand angst with longer hair … more can go wrong

I honestly can't rememeber. Lol I used to get it cut a little on top and short at the sides, but I like the look of quite a bit at the top and short at the sides.

I don't cut mine. I just let it be.
That, or hoping for the best and cutting it myself creates a new hairstyle every time.

It needs to last at least a month before I return to barber so that limits options

I haven't cut my hair for at least 30 years. When I did I just gathered it into a ponytail and snipped off the end until it was short enough.

Reading articles about which styles would flatter someone my age.

I don't, I haven't had a professional haircut in five years. I just let it grow out and then when it gets too long I cut it off with scissors.

Easy, I stopped cutting my hair over two years ago.

Mine's dictated to me, being somewhat follicaly challenged.

Leave some in the top

My hair left me.

not from jin jang jun joo or whatever that North Korean dictator]s name is , i cut my own hair usually

I don’t really choose, some days I’m just like “ew these ends need to go” and I pull my hair to the front and just cut the ends with some dull scissors
