I do now after commenting on a couple super old posts. Having said that, sometimes I’m in the mood to resurrect oldies. ☺️

@Jeephikelove you’re very good at bringing things back to life 😊👍🏻
Jeephikelove · 51-55, F
@Miked43 you’re right, it really doesn’t
Jeephikelove · 51-55, F
@Winston335 ya I am! 😘
Miked43 · 51-55, M
Not at all. If it piques my interest I go for it.
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@Miked43 Yes if its a post that is still relevant, who cares how old it is.
Miked43 · 51-55, M
@JimboSaturn Very true. How have you been?
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@Miked43 I'm good! how about you?
hunkalove · 61-69, M
Nowadays I always check. Sometimes the most recent posts are days old. The person who originally posted it could already be in jail. Or dead.
ImpeccablyImperfect · 51-55, F
@hunkalove hahaha @ already in jail
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
No, I usually don't, I just commet if I like the question.
Miked43 · 51-55, M
@Justmeraeagain I’m the same way.
ImpeccablyImperfect · 51-55, F
@Justmeraeagain haha me too…hi lady!
I'm starting to. I felt stupid rantting on a post after I realized it was from 2019. 🤦🏼♂️

I don't pay attention to the date.
WandererTony · 56-60, M
Yes i check the date. Usually it appears on the feed because someone you regularly interact with has very recently commented or edited.
Wouldn't seem too odd or late unless the baby responds to your comment! 😂😂

ImpeccablyImperfect · 51-55, F
@WandererTony hahaha yeah that might be a bit hard to swallow
katydidnt · 61-69, F
It's like cold, leftover soup: if it was good on day one, stir it up and it'll still be good, hot soup--just like this thread.
HumanEarth · 56-60, F
Nope
fun4us2b · M
Usually it happens when someone else comments and it shows up in the feed…and then realize I already commented on it back when 🤓
DrWatson · 70-79, M
I check the dates, and sometimes I respond even if the post is years old. Sometimes, that restarts the conversation.
BearDownChicago · 41-45, M
I do. Or try to. Like when was the person last in. Or when they made the comment or post. How relevant is it?
I always say I'm going to, but I don't. If sw tells me your four day old post is the most recent, who am I to argue?

I never do. Sometimes it gets the post rolling again
3Dogmatic · 46-50, M
It happens, just roll with it.
SW-User
Nope. Quality doesn't date.
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
That's totally something I would do.
Quimliqer · 70-79, M
I think we’re all guilty of this!!
carpediem · 61-69, M
Happens to me often. The feed is a mess
LibertineWolf · 51-55, M
I do that all the time lol
TexasDude · 31-35, M
Not always
ronisme1 · 61-69, M
No i dont
deadgerbil · 26-30
Yup
HackedAccount · 18-21, M
I do. 💀
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
Sometimes I do, sometimes I forget. And it's always when I forget that I end up answering something that was written half a decade ago.
And then, occasionally, just to be weird, I'll intentionally answer something from a full decade ago.

@LordShadowfire sounds like good, clean fun 😉
swirlie · 31-35, F
What I check for before I look at the date posted, is to see if the original poster has made an effort to respond to those who took the time to reply. If the OP hasn't responded or has responded only once to 200+ replies, I just skip the post altogether because it was created as a red herring (bullsh*t post).
swirlie · 31-35, F
That's what happens when nothing new is posted... old crap from 5 years ago is suddenly resurrected when someone digs back and finds some old crap to comment on, which generates feed from it as if that post were made new today.
swirlie · 31-35, F
I also think posts should have an expiry date assigned to each post which makes them automatically become deleted from this website, otherwise very old posts that are sometimes 7 years old are exhumed from someone's exhaustive search for gold, then resurrected to make them appear newly minted today, then plagiarized for it's ownership as they attach their own nameplate as that post's original Author.
ImpeccablyImperfect · 51-55, F
@swirlie hmmm I hadn’t thought of that
