@XenonRush does it matter? My answer would always be the same and has always been the same since my kids were born
XenonRush · M
I am not a parent myself, however, me and my mom were talking and she said you know what I would die for you. That’s how much I love you. It’s just hard for me to wrap my head around, loving someone so much that you I guess maybe it’s because I’ve never had kids?
Mamapolo2016 · F
@XenonRush You don’t have to be a biological parent to feel that way. When you accept the task of parenting, that child becomes a major part of who you are. My daughter was forty and laughed at me when we were in the car and I was driving. If something alarming happened, my instinct was always to throw my arm across her, to do what I could to protect her.
It’s instinct.
It’s instinct.

Yes, I have often thought that I would. It's important to me that he continues in this world, because he does a LOT of good...makes a difference.

@XenonRush He rescues dogs. He is EXTREMELY caring toward them. He ALWAYS has four dogs in residence, which is about as much as his fenced back yard can handle.
He has rescued a dog from a puppy farm down in North Carolina, and PAID her air fare to have her flown up here to Massachusetts. When she arrived, he discovered that she was terrified of men...but he worked with her and in almost no time my son became the ONLY man she would tolerate, and even love. Tia passed away two years ago.
He has rescued a deaf Dalmation, and she NOW responds to hand signals. He worked very hard to train her NOT to jump up on people.
He has taken in unwanted dogs from his own relatives, and from his co-workers, and recently took in a little beagle who had been returned to the shelter no less than THREE times after failed adoptions. He spent a LOT of money creating a special fence so that she could not dig her way out OR climb and jump OVER the fence.
He has allowed his wife's sick sister to live with them for MANY years, and has basically been a father to HER child, since he and his wife can't have children of their own. The sister has rheumatoid arthritis, and more recently had a tumor removed from her brain.
I could go on about how proud I am of his excessively fancy JOB...but I have bragged enough for ONE comment.

How many kids do you have?
@Fairygirl19

@XenonRush just 1
Yes. In a second.

New perspective:
I can make more kids.
Kids can't make more parents.
I can make more kids.
Kids can't make more parents.

Yes. I wouldn't even give it a second thought.
Miram · 31-35, F
I would murder the person who said so.

I’ve never been in that situation, but I’m confident I would. For starters, the math makes sense. I have more time behind me than ahead of me.
And I cannot, don’t want to, know what devastation her loss would be. I would literally rather die.
