Move on to make my own WORLD

Depends on the site and why they need it, AND why I want access. I've verified my identify with a couple of sites that I knew were legit.

I would never willingly side with "the Machine" or "Big Brother". You can call it what you will. I prefer to stay anonymous: incognito, unnamed, a little mysterious. I'm comfortable as a pseudonym, quietly present rather than loudly known.
If this website or any website demanded identification to prove who I was. I guess I would stop using the internet

If they need to verify my age, I might...but never by facial recognition.

Forget it. I've lived the first 30 years without internet i can draw that line very easily.

ID absolutely no way. I'm not sure what exactly a facial scan is.

Depends on the site. If it is commercial (other than my bank) or social media, not a chance.

@SunshineGirl
Companies House requires verification of directors and other significant persons.
I could not find my passport so was obliged to obtain a new one.
Big Brother is spreading his arms to envelop everyone.

@emmasfriend OK, but that is a statutory condition of operating a limited company in the UK along with all the substantial legal and financial benefits that brings. Not a condition of using their website.
Of course, if we had a national ID card (as most other European countries do) we would not have to go through the absurd inconvenience/expense of presenting passports and driving licences as proof of identity.
