How long does it take to get your tax return done?

I use MyFreeTaxes sponsored by United Way. I've no idea how long the actual preparation/return takes. They have used it as a donation since 2019.

I use a program that downloads the information from my financial institutions, and the rest of the information is easy to input. I'm sure I spend less than an hour actually working on the return.

I enter a website, login with the digital ID, get a preview of the form entirely filled, check that it matches to what I expect to detract (or correct/add what's missing), hit Confirm, profit.

Have an accountant do mine always owe and have quarterly estimated taxes less stress

My only income is my Social Security and it's such a pittance I don't even have to file a return.

I let the cpa handle it.
