Bob and Ralph

Bob and Ralph went to school together back in the day. Bob struggled through life and later became an alcoholic.
Ralph became successful and owned a string of convenience stores. Ralph felt sorry for Bob. Every day, Ralph would see Bob hanging on the corner and he would bring Bob a 12 pack of beer and a pack of cigs. A year went by and one day Ralph didnt see Bob for several days and then found out that Bob had passed away. Ralph began to wonder if he had contributed to Bob's death and started feeling guilty. Do you think that Ralph contributed to Bob's death or no ??

I had a discussion with my daughter about giving money to panhandlers on the street, afraid I was funding dangerous habits.

She said, “If you want to give it, give it. Once you give someone a gift, it’s theirs, not yours. So is the responsibility.”

Still not sure but it sounds right.

Yes. Ralph supported the addiction that could have led to Bob's demise. If he was a real freind, he would have tried to get him help.

@MayorOfCrushtown 🤔maybe but you will never know now for sure but giving him the beer and cigarettes you may feel a sense of guilt and blame perhaps

Most certainly. A 12 pack of beer daily?
That is a lot of alcohol.

@Gusman Says an Australian? Isn't that just breakfast?
Gusman · 61-69, M
@hunkalove I drank daily but I doubt I drank a 12 pack daily. I was f*cked up by age 40. 🙂
Ralph is indeed the best buddy out there 😂
Maybe a little, but Bob probably would have gotten alcohol whether Ralph gave it to him or not.

Could have given that man something healthy instead of things that were detrimental to his health

A 12pack of beer and a pack of cigs everyday for a year would kill a healthy man!
