Bob and Ralph

Bob and Ralph went to school together back in the day. Bob struggled through life and later became an alcoholic.
Ralph became successful and owned a string of convenience stores. Ralph felt sorry for Bob. Every day, Ralph would see Bob hanging on the corner and he would bring Bob a 12 pack of beer and a pack of cigs. A year went by and one day Ralph didnt see Bob for several days and then found out that Bob had passed away. Ralph began to wonder if he had contributed to Bob's death and started feeling guilty. Do you think that Ralph contributed to Bob's death or no ??

Giving ANYTHING to anyone in need seems like a good thing to do..............but it's not. If a person who won't work gets free food.....or free money.....everyday.......why would they ever see a need to get a job? There are some circumstances where help is cool........like a friend who had a fire......or the sudden death of a husband and there's a few kids to feed and no one to help them.........but giving money or food to a guy on a street corner? No way. That's not "help". It's enabling.
