I was not around but his deep dive into the mechanics of the shuffle step / foward backwards and laterally was legend. it felt like their was a paralell between him and Sugar Ray Robinson in footwork / like their is a trainer or something that touched both of them.

I was in HS when Clay was in the Olympics. I followed his career. One reason he was so dominant for so long was that he could take punches and keep on fighting.
