Do you have cable tv or did you cut that "cord" and only do streaming?

When I moved here 9 years ago, I was streaming everything. I didn't OWN a tv set. When I moved to this apartment building we were FORCED to pay for cable television. It's actually taken right out of our rent...and we can't opt out. The cost goes up and up and up every year for basic, and then channels are continually removed from basic service.

So I was going to be G-d'd if I paid for tv service without even owning a tv...so I had to go out and buy one.

If I could get rid of it, I definitely would.

@4meAndyou

Your landlord undoubtedly gets a generous kickback from the cable company for forcing this arrangement on the tenants. 🙄

@Thinkerbell It was some sort of deal where, when new tenants move in, they don't have to pay an installation fee. We are not allowed to have another company for ANY of our services because the building is wired with Comcast wiring, and they don't want their wiring disturbed by another company...supposedly.

My husband has dish its about 200$ a month for all his services

I personally would not pay a dime for tv service or streaming 😏

I still have cable and am curious about streaming but don't know enough to make a switch. Heck I had a hard enough time setting up that damn nintendo switch with the wifi.

@deepblacknothingness I had a Geek Squad subscription once upon a time, so I paid $100 extra, and I bought the cables I needed, too, and a girl came to my apartment and hardwired my tv to my laptop.

She was able to use the original remote control that came with the TV, and now I just have to push one remote button to switch from HDMI1 (which is the tv), to HDMI2, (which is the laptop). Then I just stream right off my laptop.

No, I only have the free streaming platforms.
It's enough.
Only had cable once as part of a rent.
Only streaming now

I don't watch any TV. I don't have the time, and there's nothing worth watching.
Streaming
Easy to watch in any device.
Carry everywhere.

Switched to streaming. There's nothing we watch on broadcast TV anymore.

We cut the cable about four years ago. Now we stream everything.
