If you were a president how would you handle the Israel vs Palestine stuff?

I would back up Israel. Hamas is NOT Palestine. They are a terrorist group. You have to be clear in your understanding...the Palestinian people can't throw Hamas off their backs but it is THEY who bear the brunt of the consequences when the IDF attacks Hamas.

Sanctions for both, and restructure of governance in the form of decentralized, local governance, then exiling the former leaders of both because new leadership cannot have prior bias. This on top of reinforced aid for all in need.

I would put serious pressure on Israel for the first time in generations: Stop the oppression, take serious steps toward either a two state solution or one state with equal rights, or no more money and weapons from the US.
The current POTUS would be the right one to do this because he loves to act unilaterally.

Set boundaries for how the war should be handled.

Permit food and medical aid into gaza.
Imbed international journalists into army units.

Withhold aid if the conditions aren't met.

permanently cut off all aid to Israel (which legally should've been done 40 years ago after Israel tested a nuke)

redirect that aid to Ukraine

eventually position some US Navy subs in the Med to start lobbing Tomahawks into Israel

assassinate Bibi, his cabinet, and any likely Likud successors

perhaps re-establish something akin to Mandatory Palestine for the time being, eliminating any ethnosectarian state for any side

if the US is going to continue pouring so much money into Israel for decades, I'm not sure how much worse off the area could be if most or all of the Levant assumed a status more akin to Puerto Rico or Samoa — which colonizer-occupier is worse? at least as a US territory there would be no apartheid as waged by Israel against Palestinians (I guess this is something Israel learned from South Africa when the latter assisted them with the nuke test ... still very ironic to see Israelis acting like the new Third Reich though)

Take over Gaza and begin creating an oceanfront oasis like Dubai has. Announce that since the middle east wont step up and police their own... The US will. The UAE will have no choice but to step up and deal with Palestine. Israel attacks if threatened. Leave them alone

Let Israel have at it and untie their hands.
