I would put serious pressure on Israel for the first time in generations: Stop the oppression, take serious steps toward either a two state solution or one state with equal rights, or no more money and weapons from the US.
The current POTUS would be the right one to do this because he loves to act unilaterally.

The problem with that is that the Palestinian leadership (and most of the Muslim population) never wanted anything but a one-state solution, with the Jews living there reduced (at best) to dhimmi status.

At worst? Maybe the Grand Ayatollah has some ideas about that.

@Thinkerbell I think that assumption on the part of Israeli Jews is part of the problem. You're describing the Hamas platform but that is not representative of a majority Palestinian view... at least not yet...

@jackjjackson Netanyahu made sure for many years that Hamas would continue to thrive.
And it isn't a horse race. We are talking about millions of human beings, whether they're Israeli Jews, Palestinians or others.
