But instead they replied with “yeah,” and it was actually pretty insulting

It is because so many young people nowadays claim to have some mental disorder. PTSD, bipolar, depression, ADHD...

Everyone has jumped on the bandwagon of having something wrong upstairs so now it is like, "Yeah, so does everyone else."

It is every bit as common as when people my age say they have diabetes and/or COPD.
