Going down a hill toward an intersection with a red light, my brakes went "squish" and the peddle went all the way to the floor. If the right-turn lane, which happened to head uphill, had not been clear and there had been traffic in the cross lane, I could well have been toast.

In '08 I fell over backwards from 20-foot height, landing on a cement slab. Some head injury and Knocked shoulders out of joint. When I came to, I couldn't move or walk. Thankful paralysis was only temporary. Three weeks later I was back at work. Wasn't 100% but over time I got back to 98%.
