"Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship" from Casablanca because it shows up what true friendship and love can become between two people. They don't share similar backgrounds, nor political adherance, but they know how to stick together when the chips are down. Happy Halloween!

@val70

Ever see another Bogart film that was filmed after Casablanca called The Two Mrs Carrolls?

Here is a line from that movie spoken by Bogie to Barbara Stanwyck:

"I think this is the beginning of a beautiful hatred".

@rinkydinkydoink In a bizarre final touch of dark irony as Bogie's character is being escorted out by the police, he politely asks the police officers if they would like a glass of milk :) Happy Halloween!

PS I like Portrait of Jennie better. One can't change destiny but there's always hope.
@val70

You know your old movies :D

The Rocky speech.

It ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take, and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!

Too bad Stallone turned into a MAGAt.

“Well there you are Augustus. I guess this’ll teach me to be more careful about what I promise in the future.”
"Well, here's another nice mess you've gotten me into!"

I like that quote because Stanley has brought calamity upon Ollie somehow which always leads to more mayhem.

@JohnnySpot I watched that movie in 2014.

From Block Busters no less.

Then I owned and watched it many times.

Kurtz is why I majored in Developmental psychology.

@Punxi I have a photo that goes a little too far that I never seen in the movie.
It is Halloween if you would like to see.

“This great evil, where's it come from? How'd it steal into the world? What seed, what root did it grow from? Who's doing this? Who's killing us, robbing us of life and light, mocking us with the sight of what we might've known? Does our ruin benefit the earth, does it help the grass to grow, the sun to shine? Is this darkness in you, too? Have you passed through this night?”

"Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

- Billy Madison. 1995.

I use this a lot in work.
