People often refer to themselves as an alpha. Generally it couldn’t be further from the truth.

The whole alpha concept is derived from a poor and fanciful understanding of wolves. It’s utter nonsense.

I think that was a myth that started with wolves but we're not wolves. Many alpha males who are dominate love to be dominated in bed because it requires energy to be dominate. So I'm not really sure there is a thing.

@SatanBurger Also, the wolf study that supposedly established the rank of alpha was biased. More recent studies have debunked it.
