Trump can ban the press from the WH until the cows come home - but it won't do him a bit of good come mid terms. Every time a voter pays too much for gas and too much for food they know who to blame and they will remember it come voting day. Cheers and happy weekend!

Yes, it’s not perfect (far from it), and an institution funded by essentially a tax (licence fee), but it still seems to be as unbiased as it’s possible to be in today’s manipulative world.
From a relatively impartial standpoint, it appears to me that by banning large sections of the media, and preventing unfavourable reporting, you’ve essentially got a dictator with state control of things. That doesn’t seem like democracy to me…🤷

I really want to hear the liberal answer to this. How do Liberals plan on stopping Fascism? What suggestions do they have for making sure America never ends up in this position again? All I hear from Liberals is that Fascism and Socialism are both bad. Well, Liberalism completely failed to stop the Fascists, and I'm not hearing any suggestions outside of voting harder.

The threat of Fascism will always exist, just like the threat of poverty and disease will always exist. I don't believe any society is perfect. But if these policies are implemented, it would be infinitely harder for Fascists to come to power.

@Diotrephes Sure, but look what happened. FDR implemented radical pro-worker change, and all of those politicians that wanted an alliance with Mussolini, they lost power. FDR ended up getting reelected so many times that they needed to create the rule that a president can only serve two terms.
Most voters are dumb animals. It's not that they like Fascism. It's that they'll vote for any radical change when things are bad. That's why every American under the age of 30 is either a Socialist or a Fascist. If we want America to remain a free country, we need Democrats who are going to do what FDR did. Look at how popular Mamdani is in New York now. Any goals of the Fascists in New York have been dashed because Mamdani is delivering on his left-wing agenda.

@KunsanVeteran Certainly the field work has been done. But the official launch, where no one can ignore it any more has yet happen.. We can guess that it might start with a rejection of the mid term results. Or maybe some other watershed event. But a 24 hour lead time to remove a few troublesome people will make all the difference.😷
