The United States is now at the weakest it has ever been in my lifetime. This man has destroyed our soft power by eliminating the programs behind the goodwill and leverage we had generated from aiding others with humanitarian and infrastructure assistance. He has shown that we cannot be trusted to follow even the deals we have initiated without our allies and trading partners - and in some cases deals he himself claimed credit for making in the first place. He has weakened NATO, an alliance that basically helped us secure our hegemony in the world.
Honestly, he's more than an inept commander. He's an enemy of the United States itself.

Let's see what happens in the mid-terms. Trump could threaten to wage nuclear war if we vote Democratic Party in the mid-terms. If we call his bluff, we could decimate the Republican Party and wipe it out in both chambers of Congress. Then Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jefferies can sent Trump packing and throw him to the wolves.

I don't think he can on his own. Even if he could and started today, he'd need to find homes for all the returning forces removed from bases controlled by other countries and places for all the equipment (unless he does another Afghanistan-type exit). By the time he's served the 1 year notice to the rest of NATO and planned (I know that is a laughable word in his world), the end of his term will be upon him and the world will for a second time breathe a sigh of relief as they bid good riddance.

@KunsanVeteran I cannot comment on his mental health in any real way but I do have a strong impression Mr. Trump is becoming less rational and more desperate with time.
He's staggered into a trap of his own making and even if he dares consider he set it, he cannot now easily back down without making the USA - and himself - look weak in the face of Israel and Iran.
Every settlement to him is a "deal", as if talking about second-hand cars, and a deal to him is one in his favour, but he cannot or will not see the world does not work like that.
So threats to pull out of NATO may be no more significant than his notions that this war with Iran will "end soon" - having told everyone the USA had "won" it two or three weeks ago; or any other of his bellicose statements.
It would be his own fault if the entire military turned round and said, "Mr. President, we are no longer going round launching unlawful attacks on other countries to suit you. Sir!"

People who are stoned are much more coherent than he was. He represents a clear and present danger to our national security, his security clearance should be immediately revoked, he should be forced to face a thorough mental competency evaluation by an impartial panel of experts and, failing such, should be removed from office.
If found competent to understand the charges against him, he should then face jury trials. If found not to be competent, then he should be institutionalized.

@KunsanVeteran I ended up watching it as well. He did not take any questions, because he had nothing new: This i all Obama's fault, our children are sleeping better now, regime change happened because they're all dead, those still alive are moderate, he rebuilt the military, bombs are beautiful.
