Trump is talking about leaving NATO, will that result in his impeachment?

He’s so petulant and rants at the UK 🇬🇧 for not rushing to “defend” America, which was starting it’s own war in the Middle East with a corrupt Israeli regime, and the rest of the North Atlantic alliance because he is an inept commander in chief and has not got Congressional support in his war.

Actually he does. Go read the law. Your ignorance is stunning. If a president can unilaterally declare war he is a king not a president.

Trump is skirting the law. He is commander-in-chief and every piece of US weaponry and military personnel is at his disposal. A nuclear attack need immediate response from the President. This is why he carries the nuclear football around 24/7. Congressional endorsement can be acquired later if it is still around.

@sree251 Given this is a war of aggression started by the US and Israel the national defence aspect no longer applies. The fact that they have changed the name of a department from defence to war says it all.

Quite right. In this case, Trump can muck around till he runs out of money and has to ask for funds. Congress can say no but with a Republican majority, all bets are off.

@sree251 Yes sad to say the Congress should call the POTUS on the carpet and remove him from power. He is engaged in a highly illegal war and destroying the nation that calls itself the USA in the process. The armed forces of the US really don't want to fight this war. There is no clear way to win this war and the war is costing a fortune in weapons etc. The amount of high tech arms lost by the US is staggering. Its bases in the Middle East are all decimated. The billions it spent on radars are all gone. Two aircraft carriers have been hit. Destroyers sunk. Supply ships sunk. AWACS destroyed, Refueling aircraft destroyed and all for what? Iran was not developing a nuke. This is Israel's illegal war so why is the US fighting it and going broke in the process. 38 Trillion in debt and no one to buy it. The loss of face in the world as the world is in a recession and soon to be depression with food shortages and starvation on the horizon. All for what?

You tell me. Trump's approval rating is at an all time low and worse than that of any president in history. The Constitution prevents his summary dismissal by the people. This is not right. Shareholders in a company can demand the immediate sacking of the CEO to prevent him from tanking the business.

@sree251 I was just listening to a couple of talking heads who were right about Ukraine now commenting on Iran. I was thinking. "If Trump wanted to destroy the US empire what would he be doing different than what he is presently doing?". I used to laugh at Q and his white hat black hat ideas and how one side was controlling the other. I am having second thoughts about my original derision.

@sunsporter1649 The election is in November. Let's wait and see. You may be right. I may be right. Only time will tell. The facts are that Trump is destroying the American empire. I hear the US lost 2 aircraft over southern Iran today. An F 15 was shot down and a Blackhawk went in to rescue the pilots. It was shot down too.

@hippyjoe1955 Credable sources, eh

Beginning in 2007, Johnson emerged as a critic of Barack Obama's 2008 presidential campaign. As a result he was attacked by his former allies on the political left. According to The New York Times, Johnson is "best known for spreading a hoax... in 2008 that Michelle Obama had been videotaped using a slur against Caucasians". On May 16, 2008, Johnson posted an item entitled, "Will Barack Throw Mama From the Train?" which alleged that a tape existed of Michelle Obama "railing against 'whitey' at Jeremiah Wright's church. Johnson claimed that Republicans were in possession of the tape and it "is being held for the fall to drop at the appropriate time." In a subsequent post, Johnson claimed that Obama's appearance had occurred when she was on a panel with Louis Farrakhan. He also explained that he himself had not seen the tape, but had spoken with "five separate sources who have spoken directly with people who have seen the tape."[14][non-primary source needed] The Obama campaign's "Fight the Smears" website denied the rumor, saying, "No such tape exists. Michelle Obama has not spoken from the pulpit at Trinity and has not used that word. "On October 21, 2008, Johnson said that, according to one of his sources, the McCain campaign "intervened and requested the tape not be used."

Wilkerson stated in 2009 that Guantanamo Bay detention camp continues to hold innocent men. Wilkerson said that he felt compelled to come forward after hearing former Vice President Dick Cheney state that President Barack Obama's plans to close Guantanamo made the public less safe. Commander Jeffrey Gordon, a Guantanamo spokesman, declined to comment on Wilkerson's specific observations. Gordon said that "dealing with foreign fighters from a wide variety of countries in a wartime setting was a complex process".

In The New Republic, columnist Jamie Kirchick criticised the plausibility of Wilkerson's allegations, calling him a "third-rate conspiracy theorist and a borderline bigot".

In 2013, Wilkerson speculated without evidence that Israel had used chemical weapons in Syria. These comments were termed by his critics and supporters of Israel as antisemitic.

Specifically, Wilkerson suggested the Ghouta chemical attack was an Israeli false flag operation to discredit Bashar al-Assad's government in Syria.
