What recession??? Gas is cheaper, groceries are already cheaper, the border is secure, and we have a President we can be proud of. This is EXACTLY what every sane American voted for, and yes, we are delighted!
Hmm. Didn't realize we were in a recession. I've heard people say it just depends. We could end up in a recession but as far as I'm aware, were not in a recession.
Exactly. They took for granted stealing and pilfering this country's wealth for so long it may as well have been an economic rape of our nation and good will. Now that there's a new sheriff in town showing the rest who's boss they're lining up in prone position to kiss the ring - all except the main culprit who's the communist wolf in capitalist sheep's clothing.
And a poor bad actor at that, disingenuously behaving as if they've done nothing wrong since we helped them enter the WTO and they stabbed us right in the proverbial back. Flagrant and lying thieves that the CCP is, well the Chinese Emperor's new clothes are transparent now for all to see and I won't be shocked if he's deposed by his wingmen for losing face.
We were existing under an inflationary depression under O’Biden for four years. The price of gas is already down almost a dollar a gallon. Rock on Trump and end the climate cult tyranny
Biden tyranny destroyed the middle class with leftist fairytales…..Trump is hopefully attempting to restore it.
After telling us the tariffs were like medicine that would hurt in the short term but ultimately make us stronger, Tяump caved because the stock market dropped too much.
"Though the economy occasionally sputtered in the wake of the pandemic, it has certainly been resilient — and now, in 2025, the U.S. is not currently in a recession, according to a traditional definition. In fact, the current state of the U.S. economy is quite strong, according to most measures."
I guess a few hours after this was probably submitted, the better question would be: are you pleased or disappointed that the trade war is off the table again, without negotiations, just Trump changing his mind all on his own?
It’s only just begun ….. Americans will start to feel the pain the longer China sits back and looks at all the money the USA owes them… As of December 2024, China owned $759 billion in U.S. debt, mostly in the form of Treasury bonds 🤷♀
@smileylovesgaming Actually, Tяump made no deals. The tariffs that he had unilaterally raised, he turned around after less than 5 business days and unilaterally lowered them; all except China.
So we have no extra revenue from any of those countries; nothing to show from Tяump's brief tariff world war, but we lost a TON of good will among our closest allies and biggest trading partners.
@smileylovesgaming Absolutely no deal were made from our part, he enacted and delayed them on his own lol. It wasn't even fully decided how to retaliate
Our PM was set to meet him next week and he's already folded before the meeting
Since they, at best, repeat and regurgitate what they've been told - ala echo chambers - they can't be expected to research and review information. Much less arrive at an educated guess. That would require critical thinking skills they didn't receive in high school or expensive agitprop college indoctrination center. That treatens their carefully manufactured oppressed/victimized narrative.
