America should fight to return him and have him jailed.
Glad to see the back of him. "Let it go".

I spent a little time doing what I used to do, and applying it to what happens to Trump when he loses the next election. A lot has been said about what the country will be like if he wins, one way or another. But lets assume he loses. And thats what the polls say right now.. The project 2025 people will disappear into the bushes and bide their time, making money and being sure to keep their heads down and powder dry and wait for the people to forget.. And learn to keep their mouths shut next time..
But Trump himself is another issue. He will be facing a hostile administeration and no support from the political right. The prosecutions currently in progress and possibly more will be going ahead and draining him financially. And his health aint so good..
Probably Melanoma will finally leave him trying to salvage some of her post nup money and maybe get a talk show deal... So what happens next??
I want to focus on the economics of it..Assume Trump is convicted..He has already threatened to leave the country on a couple of occasions.. That would be enough to have him classified as a flight risk. But the cost of keeping him in custody is crippling.. So here is the thing. If he flees the country, with his plane and the proverbial suitcases full of cash... Is it really in Americas interests to try to get him back?? Or do Saudi Arabia, or North Korea deserve him?😷

Let him go, and after he departs and while doing nothing to apprehend him, revoke his passport, and issue arrest warrants for him so he will forever be an international criminal.

@LordShadowfire Thats where Project 2025 steps up..And they arent going away.😷

@zonavar68 But they want him to fail after he has taken power and enacted enough things to allow them to hold power. "To quell the violence and insure order" once they replace him..😷

If he’s incarcerated, it’ll most likely be a house arrest situation, so it won’t be all that costly to the American people. And if he flees, he’ll either have to live in Russia or one of the third world nations he’s constantly insulting, and I’m good with that too 🤷‍♂️

Nice poll options. Practice manipulation much?
@whowasthatmaskedman We don't currently control private monopoly money.

Our dollar inflation is about dollars, the official currency of the US gov't.

I personally hope there IS rampant inflation and other "loss of 'value' " in monopoly money made up by various people.

@SomeMichGuy But Trump did make a comment about using Bitcoin to pay off the national debt. Of course the idea is useless. But you can bet he remembers the phrase from hearing it someplace. I have to ask myself who...😷
@whowasthatmaskedman Wtf...

Leave it to Donald...

Maybe he should become a test pilot for the new Boeing space capsule.

@Tastyfrzz Let me see your detailed proposal. The capsule is optional..😷

@LordShadowfire And with a drive thru......😷

If he's convicted, and sentenced, then he absolutely needs to serve time. Not at home with and ankle collar. In prison.
If we're going to talk to the talk that "no one is above the law," then we HAVE to walk the walk.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Ynotisay Thats one I am not so sure of. I just dont think he is bright enough to plot at a treasonous level. The reason they didnt prosecute him over the Russian election collusion way bck was because he and his people were too student to deal with what the Russians were offering..The Russians left frustrated..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Well, we have a boxes and boxes of top secret documents. And I've never been convinced that Jan.6th wasn't driven by a foreign power.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Ynotisay January6 would have gone much smoother if organised by a foreign power. Thank your lucky stars Trump was running it..But Project 2025 will be behind the next one. They will do better..😷
Apply the law fairly. If he's found guilty, fine him and confine him with an ankle monitor and take away his secret service privileges. He'll have to pay his own room & board and pay for protection if he wants it. Every time he violates parole, hit him with another enormous fine.

The biggest problem with Trump is that if he wins., Trump will act like the autocratic schoolyard bully he is and 'stack' every part of the government executive with people that will do Stormy Daniels to him, and trash everyone else. He's hell bent on doing what he wants for himself and his corporate elite backers in entities like the Heritage Foundation, Ziklag, etc. He wants the USA to become a fully insular state like North Korea is.

If there is a very close electoral college result (say Kamala wins the 'first past the post' by just one vote or just a handful of votes), you can bet your bottom dollar that Trump we trigger yet another Capitol riot and it'll be a repeat of what happened in 2020 with countless court cases wasting court time and resources on frivilous litigation.
He already said he would flee to Venezuela if he loses. The US has an extradition treaty with Venezuela but they typically refuse to honor requests.

The only country without an extradition treaty where Trump owns property is the United Arab Emirates. So if he’s smart he’ll go there. He may be planning on unloading his TruthSocial stock.

We should make every effort to bring him to justice if he flees.

@Diotrephes There have always been two legal systems in America. One for the rich, the other for the rest..Trump has been in the lower end of the rich group. But has shone an unwanted spotlight on their activities..😷
That's a good question. Maybe let him go if he escapes to an authoritarian country, that way he can destroy their government from the inside. If he escapes to a democratic country, have them send him back so we can lock him up.

America should fight to return him and have him jailed

The reason I never voted for option 1 above is because this would create a resent-filled base for both the blues and the reds, each having their own reasons for feeling resent-filled.

To have Trump returned to the scene of the crime to stay and serve his time would be like parents with teenaged children getting divorced, where the offending actor whom the divorce court banished to the hinterlands doesn't actually move out of the house. Instead, he/she just moves down the hall to the next available bedroom but otherwise continues to show up for dinner each night and is always in your face.

@Diotrephes I understand thats how it would be supposed to work. But I lack confidence in the actual performance based on the past record, either by incompetence or design..😷
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@whowasthatmaskedman The cure for that is simple. If he gets away then all juries should find all future defendants not guilty of whatever crimes they are charged with.
