America should fight to return him and have him jailed.
Glad to see the back of him. "Let it go".

I spent a little time doing what I used to do, and applying it to what happens to Trump when he loses the next election. A lot has been said about what the country will be like if he wins, one way or another. But lets assume he loses. And thats what the polls say right now.. The project 2025 people will disappear into the bushes and bide their time, making money and being sure to keep their heads down and powder dry and wait for the people to forget.. And learn to keep their mouths shut next time..
But Trump himself is another issue. He will be facing a hostile administeration and no support from the political right. The prosecutions currently in progress and possibly more will be going ahead and draining him financially. And his health aint so good..
Probably Melanoma will finally leave him trying to salvage some of her post nup money and maybe get a talk show deal... So what happens next??
I want to focus on the economics of it..Assume Trump is convicted..He has already threatened to leave the country on a couple of occasions.. That would be enough to have him classified as a flight risk. But the cost of keeping him in custody is crippling.. So here is the thing. If he flees the country, with his plane and the proverbial suitcases full of cash... Is it really in Americas interests to try to get him back?? Or do Saudi Arabia, or North Korea deserve him?😷

@Gibbon What would you add?

@SomeMichGuy STFU Guy I agreed to not discuss politics with you anymore.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Gibbon I dont mind engaging with you. However, if all you have is personal insult, then you will be treated accordingly. Consider this a warning..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman I will state it as plain as I can and leave. People of such beliefs the manipulation and socialism as well suffer from mental illness. I'm finished with this thread. I know bottomless rabbit hole it leads to.
@Gibbon OK, then let’s add:

Trump wins, pardons himself
Trump loses, stays, found not guilty
Trump loses, stays, found guilty, goes to prison

Did I miss anything?

@LeopoldBloom Point of Order. "The Gibbon has left the building". And my post was a specific "What if" to Trump losing, not winning. Everyone has a lot to say on that score, including me..So my questions were simply if he runs, does America really want him back considering what he would cost.. (Its always about the Benjamins with me)😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Kamala wins? The US economy crashes. Your imaginary scenarios don't matter.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Gibbon The US Economy is due to tank anyway. Its only the printing of money thats keeping it afloat and that ends in hyperinflation if they keep it up. (See. If you make an intelligent comment I can respond.)😷
@LeopoldBloom I would add

Trump loses, again claims he didn't, starts to rile up supporters, Biden invokes his power to fulfill his Oath in official acts and has DJT, his circle, all the co-conspirators pardoned by DJT, and others rounded up and sent to Gitmo (let's throw in all the legislators who voted to not certify the last election, after the breaching of the Capitol, and the SCotUS justices who voted to give him this power).
@whowasthatmaskedman We're not printing anything close to the amount of money that would be needed to cause hyperinflation. The inflation of a few years ago (which has ended as the rate is now 1%) was caused by several factors, like the post-COVID supply chain disruptions and the war in Ukraine that knocked out most of Europe's wheat production. The COVID checks and PPP loans were mostly spent right away and kept the economy from tanking an more than it did.

Examples of hyperinflation, like Weimar Germany and Zimbabwe, involved printing several orders of magnitude more money than we're doing.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@LeopoldBloom Thats true. But this was before the days of Emoney.. Money doesnt have to be printed any more. The money supply is fictional, with Bitcoin and other non official currencies and debt instruments.😷
@whowasthatmaskedman We don't currently control private monopoly money.

Our dollar inflation is about dollars, the official currency of the US gov't.

I personally hope there IS rampant inflation and other "loss of 'value' " in monopoly money made up by various people.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@SomeMichGuy But Trump did make a comment about using Bitcoin to pay off the national debt. Of course the idea is useless. But you can bet he remembers the phrase from hearing it someplace. I have to ask myself who...😷
@whowasthatmaskedman Wtf...

Leave it to Donald...
