The rest of the world for Trumps trial

If he's found guilty or not this is gonna be good
He will be found guilty of the felonies in this indictment.........or one of the indictments to come. The odds of him escaping being found guilty of at least some felonies is very, very small. There are currently 5 state and federal grand juries / investigations going on at once on him that involve multiple felonies. This grand jury indictment is the least serious he has to face. But even if this judge goes lightly on trump this proceedings did what it was supposed to do. It broke the ice. It tested the "mob"....and NOTHING happened. It was the first to indict trump....opening the way for others to follow. Each one teaches prosecutors in advance what trumps lawyers will dream up for challenges for why he don't have to face justice.

The threat by the cult was if you indict our Jesus we will tear down America. In fact so few MAGA cult members showed up in N.Y. the media had to stand in line to interview them. So that threat was bs. Now the other grand juries can proceed and the country knows the threats is just wind and no substance on what the potbelly MAGA "warriors" will to do to anyone.

And when he does get hit with a felony he can't dodge..............guess what? He cannot ever travel outside of the U.S. again. He cannot ever vote again. He can't own a gun and his beloved NRA can't help him. Depending on the state involved he can be denied business licenses to do business in that state again. Felony convictions carry downsides. Trump is using his felony charges now to fundraise from suckers. Later they will be an anchor around his neck. A guy who flew to the arraignment in a private jet...from his residence at a private golf course in Florida.......where he craps in gold toilets........ needs more money to pay for his lawyers. ;-) ;-) But the gullible can't grasp that. Keep paying suckers. ;-)
@Cosmicmicrowave Got it. ;-)

@MaBalzEsHari I was called down to Carry in groceries and it turned out to be two boxes very light weight
Ducky · 31-35, F
Whether he serves time or no, it'll be interesting to see how this unfolds, for sure!
originnone · 61-69, M
@Ducky I think he'll be convicted but serve no time. Too many nuts will riot....
Thecollective · 100+
@originnone doesn't seem like it would be worth the effort to just give him a slap on wrist to stop riots? I think people would riot anyway cause you know no real justice there if he's found guilty
Cosmicmicrowave · 18-21, M
@originnone Well they are not above the law time for people to just understand that if they riot they can go to jail too

I've never understood why and how a pedophile, drug addict can become such a cultural icon, a person to worship and even a role model for so many Americans.

Is it the power of the media? How? Why?

I'm old and clueless. Enlighten me, please.
Heartlander · 80-89, M
@Thecollective Oh, sorry :) I came into this thread at the comment level rather than the top and was really reacting to the image of Michael Jackson.

Like how and why we create superstars and why some cling to them after their gold star has been tarnished

30+ years ago I participated in Jackson's super stardom achievement by taking my then 13 year old daughter and friend to his Liberty Tour performance at Arrowhead stadium.There we were in the end zone upper deck with the stage 100 yards away, and after spending $200 for tickets, and getting there an hour early, and what we saw was like watching an ant on the far side of a room, and my reaction then was questioning my own sanity for being there. So the picture of Jackson posted above triggered that memory and the whole idea of how superstars get created.

@Heartlander the same way Trump became an icon. People see different things in different people.

Pinkstarburst · 51-55, F
That’s pretty much the U.S. too. Don’t let the media fool ya.
Pinkstarburst · 51-55, F
@originnone Honestly, I really don’t think the regular people of the US cares either. I know I don’t.
originnone · 61-69, M
@Pinkstarburst I guess people love the circus aspect. I hear a lot of people talking about it, but I don't care either.
Pinkstarburst · 51-55, F
@originnone Whackadoos
Jake966 · 56-60, M
A waste of tax payers dollars , just like the stupid impeachment bullshit
Jake966 · 56-60, M
@Strictmichael75 so they charge a former president for his “ crimes “ while they allow thousands of illegal immigrants over the border each day and turn a blind eye to it
Strictmichael75 · 61-69, M
@Jake966 What crime have the immigrants committed except entering illegally looking for a better life when the former president committed many crimes?
How strange that the buck never stops with him? Always solebody elses fault! a total con man
Jake966 · 56-60, M
@Strictmichael75 entering the country illegally isn’t a crime ?
Convivial · 26-30, F
From a non American point of view it's fascinating.
On a simple level you have a guy who says he's uber rich, has his own rather large private jet, etc, and yet some of the poorest throw their money at him.
I'm not sure if this speaks more of him as the ultimate con man or the intelligence of people... Or both
ididntknow · 51-55, M
@Convivial you don’t get it do you, one day you might
Convivial · 26-30, F
@ididntknow get that he's probably guilty... Oh, I do!
ididntknow · 51-55, M
@Convivial I refer you to my previous message
ididntknow · 51-55, M
When will Joe Biden be going to trial ?
Thecollective · 100+
@ididntknow when there's charges brought against him? don't know how else he'll be put on trial
Notanymore · 36-40, M
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout that man is my patron saint.
pancakeslam · 41-45, M
let's be frank: you would welcome the death penalty
pancakeslam · 41-45, M
@Thecollective even if they sold 🍿 huh
Thecollective · 100+
@pancakeslam still grasping
pancakeslam · 41-45, M
@Thecollective really you think 30 false charges, a stacked jury, and a biased judge is funny?
