Happiness isn’t a myth. It just depends where you are on the wave. Think of it like sailing. Sometimes you have to head in a different direction to catch your wind.

What I’ll guarantee is that happiness is hard enough to find without someone bringing you down. It’s best to extricate yourself from bad relationships. They only hold you down. They only block your wind.

It is a myth as you described.....I figured out at around 50y/o and plenty of relationships that happiness can only be found within, relying on someone else to fullfill your happiness is almost always going to fail... sure it might work for some people but thers always exceptions to the rule

It’s better to let go of a relationship that is falling apart. Holding on will leave only your hands wounded and your heart in pain.

Happiness is an over romanticization.

Contentment is more realistic.

Naïve? Pretentious? If that’s what you see when someone shares their pain, then maybe the problem isn’t with me, but with your own lack of compassion. It must be nice to sit on the sidelines of someone else’s life and pretend you’d have done everything perfectly. Easy to point out “red flags” when you’re not the one living behind closed doors, holding on to hope, and trying to survive what felt unbearable at times.

And yes, there are always three sides to every story, but at least I’ve had the courage to speak mine. Laughing at someone’s scars doesn’t make you smarter or stronger, it only reveals how shallow your empathy really is.

So if reducing another person’s lived reality to a punchline is the best you can do, then thank you for showing us exactly the kind of person I never want to become.🌹

Happiness is short-lived I don't know the F why
