Overall no. You can temporarily reach for tools that trigger that reaction in the brain but as we all know, it doesn't last forever. If it was that easy, there wouldn't be depressed people and drug addicts out there. There's no magic formula that would be applicable to every person.

Ohh yes - let me clarify.
First of all, one must distinguish the ideas of being happy and wanting to be happy! We cannot force happiness. It is not sustainable.
What we can do is accept - accept that there are feelings like fear, frustration, lack of purpose in life, irritations, physical troubles, deaths & loneliness - all of which tend to make people unhappy. Then one can repair or reorganize oneself to get free from these feelings in those occasions.
Gratitude is very important assets to build a source of happiness & to guard against the blues. Another is the decision of being involved, yet not too attached in social, material or gratifying things.
If persued with patience, these work wonders.
This is the experience that I can share.

Kind of. It's about preservation. We all start out happy. If you're healthy and never felt any hardships thats considered true happiness even if youre bored. Being bored does not mean unhappiness, it just means you're not doing much with your time and youre not appreciating your happiness while you have it, Here is where it is a choice, most people seek partys and stuff like that in search of happiness but those people never realized they were perfectly happy the whole time how they started out until it's too late and your happiness is gone . If you chose a healthier activitys you preserve your happiness. Ofcourse rich couples who are in love with one another is ultimate happiness since it opens up more nueral pathways and dont need to work hard But single people can still be happy aswell maybe not as happy as a good couple but more than happy enough to be healthy. If youre addicted to substances or certain habits and not have enough to eat then no its not a choice.

I think happiness is a byproduct of how we live, but a positive attitude helps one enjoy it.

If you’ve paid deeply enough for your rose colored glasses, happiness comes painfully easy. But, the choice isn’t to keep it. The choice is to share it.

Not for me. Whatever mood I wake up with is the mood that I am in for the day. My emotions control me, I don't control them.

To a degree, but a lot of things influence happiness.

I think if our parents were miserable, happiness is a real challenge.
For some yes and others no ...it depends
