Ohh yes - let me clarify.
First of all, one must distinguish the ideas of being happy and wanting to be happy! We cannot force happiness.It is not sustainable.
What we can do is accept - accept that there are feelings like fear, frustration, lack of purpose in life, irritations, physical troubles, deaths & loneliness - all of which tend to make people unhappy. Then one can repair or reorganize oneself to get free from these feelings in those occasions.
Gratitude is very important assets to build a source of happiness & to guard against the blues. Another is the decision of being involved, yet not too attached in social, material or gratifying things.
If persued with patience, these work wonders.
This is the experience that I can share.
