Generally, I think I'm pretty open to free speech and I like hearing different ideas and challenging what I believe etc

But what I don't understand is how Elon Musk is claiming to be all about free speech yet he fired someone for correcting him on something?

I dunno, did I understand that right?

If I did, he doesn't seem very open to criticism

And the criticism he received didn't even seem harsh ;/

Elon musk is a multi billionaire..

It’s like having a drunk homeless person trying to correct you on your financial choices.. These people have egos through the roof.. and if it’s the one I’m thinking of that you’re talking about (although there’s been a lot) he asked the guy why he hadn’t fixed a problem that’s been going on for six years at the company.. and the guys argument was that he was working on it for six years so he knew more about it.. and musk called him out for his bullshit and fired him.. imagine taking your car into a shop needing it to be fixed and the person still wants your money but keeps telling you the problem isn’t fixed yet after six years… a lot of these people are just idiots who don’t even know how to do their own damn job they’re signed up for..

If anything just is giving people that disagree with his philosophies, the karma for the way they behaved and acted towards others.. and what they believe should be done when the shoe was on the other foot.. he’s letting them suffer by their own values they set in place..

He does want to get rid of as many people from there as possible.. having a job is a privilege not a right.. he’s the owner he gets to decide who stays and who goes.. and they’ve all been talking shit about him in their very own company emails of which he found and had access to.. if you had everyone talking shit about you why would you want to keep people around you that hate you? When you can just hire new blood that’s far more deserving of the job.. that’s all that’s going to happen.. better more qualified and more deserving people will be hired in the long run.. but terrible people want you to feel bad for them when they lose their job for being a terrible person and it’s like nah, I don’t..

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout

Yeah I can understand not wanting to hire people who disrespect you,

But it didn't really seem disrespectful, at least not on the surface level

I think more people are quitting or being bribed with offers by WEF to compromise the company than Musk is firing -- more where they came from India, China, Pakistan, etc.

@scrood tbh, I haven't really been following the whole wef story, so I have no idea what's going on with that, lol

Elon Musk seems to be a lot like Donald Trump - free speech only if you agree with their point of view or opinions
Perhaps He's for the ideal of free speech but maybe he is egotistical and doesn't like to be crossed 😅

He's a hypocrite. This whole thing started because Twitter made him delete a tweet that was objectively mean and unnecessarily cruel. He can dish it out, but he can't take it.
