@Pisciatto1 so it was violent?, thus NOT PEACEFUL. it isnt a competetion just a yes or no. Furthermore one was an "insurrection"(to contest the results of an election) the other a "protest" to retribute for a violent event (eye for an eye?) They dont seem comparable to me.

@dale74 Pamela Hemphill was there at the Capitol, she says she fell for all the gaslighting and was arrested for her part. She's refused Trump's pardon because she admits it WAS an insurrection and the insurrectionists were violent and are still dangerous and should still be in jail. Pamela Hemphill, who was there, agrees it was an insurrection and has refused Trump's pardon.

'"Accepting a pardon would only insult the Capitol police officers, rule of law and, of course, our nation," she said.

"I pleaded guilty because I was guilty, and accepting a pardon also would serve to contribute to their gaslighting and false narrative."

Hemphill, who was nicknamed the "Maga granny" by social media users - in reference to Trump's "make America great again" slogan - said she saw the Trump government as trying to "rewrite history and I don't want to be part of that".

"We were wrong that day, we broke the law - there should be no pardons," she told the BBC World Service's Newsday programme.'
