The US economy is more profitable, and larger than ever. Why do you American people say your economy is doing poorly when you're polled?

Gallup's poll says two thirds of you have your own personal ideas about what the economy really is? Tell me your facts- what do you think the economy is? Why are record high profits not as good as your personal opinion?

Because those record high profits NEVER end up in OUR pockets.

The record high profits are not distributed evenly, they are concentrated in the hands of a few who are already extremely wealthy. For most of us our wages are not keeping up with inflation.

The wealth is there, but inefficiently distributed. Workers need to be adequately reimbursed and the dependent young, sick and elderly decently provided for before the rentier classes swoop in for their cut.
I sell craft materials online as a side hustle. This month business is down 50% yoy
Personally, I think when people have to come up with more money to buy gasoline and food, they have to cut back on craft and hobby items.

Say what now??? Based on the inflated $ in the stock market alone the economy is doing "OK" for share holders.. No one else..😷

Most people look only at the stock market. The Dow is not the economy

Because it's in the hands of the few at the expense of the many... As an example, American steel manufacturers out their price UP to match imported steel with tariffs applied to it... Not much price gouging going on here lol

Like in most country's, the rich oligarchs get richer and the poor get poorer. Simple as that.
