This is just another of those "American Economy is Toast" AI generated clips. Some facts I know to be real. Some I am not so sure. I am interested any ANY points of view based on personal experience of what is happening in America today.. I am NOT interested in pro or anti left or right comments, which will be deleted.. This is about the economics. Not the politics.. "Just the facts, Ma'am" 😷

Families will need to take a japanese style approach to living situations! own your land and home then slowly (& sustainably) build upwards adding stories (floors) to the dwelling; one for each new generation. Dont use debt to finance such construction do it yourself at lowest possible cost (pay in cash). Generations of family will need to support the family and allow sustainable growth. Own a car for when necessary otherwise take the bus (public transportation) whenever possible.
I have 80 offspring? But no ties to them so idk how that factors in.

@whowasthatmaskedman one day at a time I’d say

@jehova While I applaud your efforts, I stick to getting those near and dear to me. I used to get paid and rewarded for predicting outcomes. But I can tell you that unless your opinion is sought and paid for, few people even bother to listen..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman it’s true that’s why published original medical research won awards in high school and later breakthrough was made using my research, in part, to create a next generation device of the one my research was on then I did research using the next generation one too.

Taxes and insurance are the big hitters. The national debt is unsustainable. Yes, we can print money but it becomes worth less and less. I am retired so i have what i have. I can reduce some spending. I can move up north and live a bit more cheaply. Medicare is going to hit next year and that will be another unavoidable expense.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Tastyfrzz Yes.. All of the above. Plus there is the hollowing out of any pension funds you are a member of. If they invest in T bonds or something like commerical real estate with falling values..😷

Ive been saying precisely this for about 3 to 5 years. The only answer is grow your own food stop paying for entertainment (streaming, cable, etc) i switched back to antennae 5 years ago. Im planning to switch to dial up internet and radio instead of paid services (that still have adverts) Buy cds to avoid commercials.

If america were to produce gasoline from hemp thc that would solve alot of problems. Thc soluble in ethanol creates diesel fuel. 300 barrels an acre up to 1937 when the passage of the Marihuana Tax Act caused ww2.

Food and gas prices are down where I live. Business is good. Things are going great!
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@ron122 And where is this? (I ask because its contrary to the narrative and if your local conditions are different I wish to understand)😷

@justanothername And thats what happens in a boom/bust cycle of Capitalism. And this one is going to be a beaut!!!😷
justanothername · 51-55, M
@whowasthatmaskedman Wrong again. That’s what happens when a corrupt felon forces a healthy economy into recession.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@justanothername Sorry. You are incorrect. I am not saying Trump isnt a malignant tumour on the US economy (among other things). But he didnt cause this recession. He just made it worse and made the people less able to cope with it. The seeds of this recession were sewn in how the bail outs from the Global Financial crisis were handled..😷

@justanothername Sorry: Like I said. I only want to hear the economic facts.😷
justanothername · 51-55, M
@whowasthatmaskedman I posted economic facts. An economic recession is classed as two sequential quarters of decline. The next report is due out at the end of this month.
Google the definition of a recession .

Tariffs on all products don’t create a strong economy because the countries you put tariffs on always reciprocate with tariffs against you.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@justanothername ok. Those were the only facts and the rest was the blame game. Now facts like gasoline is still cheap, but groceries are up. Employment is not great. Your local facts as you see them please.
jehova · 36-40, M
Yes prices are increasing alot at the grocery store and gas station.
Watch what the smart money is doing. Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway, AKA his investment firm, has about $250 billion in equities (stock) vs $340 billion in cash equivalents.

This is much more cash than he usually carries. Investors do this (sell stock, buy T bills) when they expect the stock market to fall substantially, and intend to buy stocks after they drop.

Buffett Indicator, which compares the total market capitalization of a country's stock market to its Gross Domestic Product (GDP). A high ratio, especially when exceeding 200%, is seen by Buffett as a sign that the market is overvalued, potentially signaling "playing with fire". Another "rule" associated with Buffett is his 90/10 strategy, which suggests allocating 90% of your portfolio to a low-cost S&P 500 index fund and 10% to short-term government bonds.

current Buffet indicator is 210% to 220%. Buffet is putting his money where his mouth is.
