3 ways to build a better economy in 3 year.

1. Ban corporations from owning residential rental housing, and blatantly make no mistake about it, tax currently corporate owning residential housing into a desperate fast sell.

2. BREAK UP WALL STREET. AT&T/standard oil style on a mass scale by enforcing the Sherman antitrust act.

3 raise the federal minimum wage to historic high national averages monthly rent of a 2 bedroom apartment ÷ 40 calculation. REGARDLESS OF WHAT THAT MAY punch to on a calculator.

Throw all fronts into action at once and the economy will thrive by leaps and bounds in a matter of 3 years or less.

Three solid points of action. But I think imposing REAL taxes on corporations and individuals would go a long way as well if that revenue was turned back around to reach regular people. When the U.S. was thriving after WW2, and the middle class exploded, the richest were paying around a 90 percent individual rate. We know it works. But for some reason a lot of people have been trained to protect the richest. Some like kissing the hand that beats them I guess.

Make the politicians eat the same slop the people they are supposed to be representing are eating.

Those are all great solutions, but the problem is we are "in too deep," at this point. What I mean is, if we begin breaking up the monopolies all at once, and taxing Corporate America and the families that own "everything" in America at a fair rate, what all of them will do is close their doors and "take the money and run," and the American economy collapses. They already don't give a damn about us, so what is to keep them from leaving us homeless and starving.
I'm all for reversing the ills that have been created in this country by others in the past, but it would have to be a slower process if it's going to work.

@calicuz There is an easy solution to that problem: eminent domain
Alabamarednek · 36-40, M
@calicuz most of corporate American wealth is in speculated value. Baning corporate ownership of residential real-estate and taxing already corporate held real estate would bust one side of the hot air bubble.

Then breaking up corporate monopolies would free up the markets which os whT antitrust laws were meant for.

It would also install diversity that our economy so desperately needs.

@Alabamarednek

I agree, but it has to be a slow process.

#2 and #3 I agree with. However, reputable corporations who invest in residential for genuine reasons (other than tax avoidance) perform a useful service and generally do it better than small private landlords.

All those ideas are good in themselves. But they just arent enough. One of the favourite tricks of those with money (Real money) is to find loopholes, work arounds and challenge things in court, delaying outcomes. The system you have took centuries to develop and decades to go off the rails. Undoing the damage requires a whole new system and a whole new philosophy of people.😷

Im a bit skeptical on number three minimum wage increase will result in a proportional increase in prices. Therefore im unsure how much it will help. Otherwise good ideas.

On October 24, 1938, the minimum wage was $0.25.
On January 25, 1950 it was $0.75.

Do you want to return to 1938?
jehova · 31-35, M
@Diotrephes no but its a balance is all im saying lets increase the value of the dollar with domestic production and productive/quality tarrifs and labor. Watering down the value of currency only does so much. We need more than just a wage solution.
jehova · 31-35, M
Flat tax or increasing tax as ppl make way more.
jehova · 31-35, M
@Diotrephes id think the answer is the most longstanding combined with the least taxed then crossed with luxemburg and the most recent system of taxation. Such a combination comparison combination examination might allow us to create the best. This is a learning process. Therefore that first combination would need to be combined/compared with the oldest religious example, hinduism while combined with the newest Christianity, then cross referenced with japan and finally bermuda?
We need to connect alot of dots on this one.
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@jehova Develop the plan and present it to your Congress Critters.

@Diotrephes i tried they are all bought already
