Ah, but is this the State buying the companies for the nation's benefit, with the government acting as the Purchasing Officer; or senior politicians buying shares for their own benefit?
Seems strange to a foreigner like me that a hard-Right, Republican government of the deeply-capitalist United States of America, should nationalise companies. I thought that principle was anathema there, espcially on the Right Wing of a political spectrum generally to the right of that of most other countries.
It's not "Communism" by any stretch of the imagination - very far from that even in the post-McArthy USA - but I am puzzled why the USA would nationalise anything beyond those public services that should be State-owned in an country.

Before Trump, USAID , the Somalians, and corrupt democrats were bilking the Government for over $300 Billion, not to mention the Ukraine kickbacks and the NATO kickbacks...You didn't seem to mind that our tax dollars were stolen by corrupt foreign actors and Democrats Comrade Carla, but suddenly, with Trump in office, our trade deficit has decreased by over 60%.
You didn't seem to mind the the Biden admin, in an effort to harm national security, physically destroyed the strategic oil reserve holding pools after draining them, and that Trump has had to rebuild with our tax dollars.
And...you never mentioned that the proceeds of any deal Trump makes goes into the treasury instead of a democrats wallet.

@Lookingforconversation Cuba, sure, but definitely not Venezuela. Just because a socialist party is in power doesn't mean the country has undergone a socialist transformation. Otherwise by that metric France would be "communist" every few years.

Well to start with even from the Marxist position socialism is the transition that will lead to communism.
But leaving that aside.
If this was a Marxist approach it would not be government partial ownership. Outside the US that is common.
If this was really old school Marxism they would all be nationalized with 100% public ownership.

Dont worry about it.. Not because it isnt something to be worried about. But because the time to worry about it was January 6 a few years ago. Its too late now. The infection has spread and its time for the family to gather and say goodbye..😷
