"......always heavy to see a life end so suddenly. Moments like this remind us how fragile life is."
Yes, just like the children killed in the school shooting in CO, on the same day.

Never heard of him before all this went down.
After seeing and hearing his "beliefs", I would never agree or follow him, but nobody deserves what happened to him.

No matter what you think, or how you feel about Charlie Kirk - the reactions to his murder put a glaring spotlight on how polarized the United States has become - especially politically.

The Republican Party no longer exists in principle, but Republican voters still exist in reality, though they are no longer represented politically in the USA.
As you said, Trump hijacked the Republican Party and re-branded that entity as the Trump MAGA-Party, not the Republican Party with a MAGA agenda.
Hitler did exactly the same thing in Europe prior to WWII with Mussolini, where the only reason that Hitler partnered with Mussolini in the first place was because of Mussolini's tremendous popularity in Italy at the time.
When those two guys partnered with each other after Hitler sold Mussolini on the idea, Hitler then re-branded Mussolini's popular Socialist Party which already had a ready-made audience.
Hitler then dove-tailed his own extreme right-wing, White Supremacy agenda into Mussolini's center-right leaning Socialist Party, which is precisely what Trump did to the otherwise center-right leaning Republican Party of America.

@swirlie but it seems so few recognize the threat....
swirlie · 31-35
@VeronicaJane
But few in Europe recognized Hitler's threat either when he embarked upon his very benign political strategy at first, including Mussolini who basically got hood-winked by Hitler's salesmanship in not realizing that Hitler was a Master con artist at the core of is being, no different than Trump is and always has been in the business world.
What Trump did in hijacking the Republican Party is precisely what Trump has always done in his business world alongside his Late father, Fred Trump who taught Donald how to become a successful crook.

We should definitely go after the type of guy that did this. We need to make sure these types are no longer able to cause harm.

Charlie Kirk once said, "I can't stand the word empathy, actually. I think empathy is a made-up, new age term that — it does a lot of damage."
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@RachelLia2003 Empathy is innate unless you don't have an amygdala, even without there is cognitive empathy. I'm not sure why you think innate empathy as part of the normal evolutionary process is woke. Sounds like something a 15 year old would say on 4chan.

@joggie Your empathy towards the Jewish, Christian, and Muslim infants, elderly, and women of Israel is noted

Your post reminds me of about 60 or 70 kindergarten students who've been gunned down in the USA by some so-called American patriot exercising their 2nd Amendment Rights, none of those 60 or 70 being far-right political activists with an axe to grind with the Democrats.
I hardly think about Charlie Kirk when I read words like "Moments like this remind us how fragile life is". In fact, when I read those words of your's, it makes me feel like vomiting in your face, only because you deserve it.
Honestly, I think your post is totally inappropriate because Charlie himself has publicly stated that he's okay with lives being lost if that's what it takes to preserve 2nd Amendment Rights in America.
Charlie was a total freak of nature and so is his wife a vengeful freak of nature because she thinks in the same mind-space as Charlie did.
America is a safer place today without the likes of Charlie and I really don't give a shitte what you think about Charlie or any other far-right evangelical extremist who endorses Trump.

@swirlie This profile was just recently made, no doubt by one of the 9 Maga profiles we have on here lol. They each have troll accounts so we don't have that many maga but it's def. one of them. I don't get why Maga males pretend to be females though.
swirlie · 31-35
@SatanBurger
Probably because that's who they pretend to be offline as well, despite MAGA's mantra that to be anything but heterosexual is blasphemous. They want it both ways.... they are probably gay, yet they vote Republican come voting time, only because their daddy did ..and their great-granddaddy did ...and everyone in their little backwoods MAGA town would eventually find out if they had otherwise voted for a Democrat. So they vote MAGA yet reap the lifestyle that a democracy provides thereby enabling adult MAGA men to walk around wearing Democrat women's clothing.

Unexpected you say? Why would you think that the likes of Charlie Kirk could go on indefinitely without someone eventually taking exception to his fascist rhetoric?

@swirlie I had higher expectations of 'non-fascist' people. If someone is of a different opinion than me, I don't shoot them. But I guess people in the US aren't so different from each other after all.
swirlie · 31-35
@DMmeyourtits
I guess they're not, but then again I've always said that about Americans anyway.

@SatanBurger The Nazis usually congregate in /pol/ which is the "politically incorrect" forum. Or at least they did a few years go, today they have much bigger platforms, like X and Rumble, plus Facebook doesn't deplatform people for nazi-posting anymore.
It's kinda like how the Alt-Right isn't really a thing anymore. The Alt-Right is just the Right.

@BohoBabe I noticed that more and more conservatives are getting extreme. They been saying the constitution doesn't matter anymore and just saying stuff like that, it's insane.

He was a decent guy. He loved his family and he loved his work.
In those appearances, he invited the most extremist left wingers to go to the head of the line and gave them a microphone. He even asked the crowd to be polite. He always greeted the world with a winning smile.
He didn't pass away. He was brutally ASSASSINATED by a left wing NAZI.
On that day, the First Amendment DIED.
