Are there any cult leaders who are actually a part of their cult?
My last post got me thinking. I'm talking about cult leaders who genuinely believe everything they say. Personally I think Alex Jones is.

A lot of them actually. There’s this one story of one in China who led a cult who claimed all the Chinese gods were going to descend on his home and usher in the new age. He summoned a ton of press and they all watched as he stood around confused when they didn’t show up.

To an extent, but just about all cult leaders have some kind of explicable ulterior motive. Heaven's Gate is a little harder to rationalize though
