This did not happen. The pope, shortly before being admitted to hospital in February, voiced an opinion that the Trump administration's foreign policy plans would deprive migrants of their inherent dignity. He sent a letter to American bishops that questioned J D Vance's claims that Catholic doctrine supported American immigration policy.
Unlike the American government, the pope has not sought to interfere in the decision making of a democratic government.

🤣
Sounds like you need to pick up a history book; the pope has interfered in more governments than any organization in history, and they've been doing it for 2000 years...
@wildbill83 We are talking here about the late Pope Francis' criticism of US immigration policy. How exactly do you think this octogenarian interfered in government decision making?
@SunshineGirl could care less what the pope thinks; our forefathers didn't care either which is why "Separation of Church and State" was included in the Constitution; to prevent state/globalist churches from holding any political sway/meddling in political issues. We need neither their permission nor their validation
You've never heard of Catholic Charities? You've never heard of Catholic Relief Services?
The Catholic Church has built, equipped, staffed and runs 500 fully functioning hospitals world- wide (70% in poor Third World countries). Additionally, 150,000 schools; from primary to university.
According to one poster,
Adding up just Catholic Charities, Food for the Poor, Catholic Relief Services, St. Jude's, and America's Second Harvest alone total $5,570,000,000, which is greater than #1 on the list for America.
