Trump Gold Card: Green card for the rich.

For $5 million, people will be able to apply to become US permanent residents. Is Trump transforming America into a bordello patronized by moneybags?

Ditching DEI for a merit-based society sounds good. Meritocracy, however, can refer to any form of evaluation based on achievement. Trump has a lust for wealth. He considers the national debt, the legacy of his inapt predecessors, a stain on his presidency. He doesn't want bad people streaming across US borders unless they have the money to make America wealthy again.

I support it. Why wouldn't I? These immigrants have the resources to add to society instead of taking from it. A nice change from the Biden years for sure.

Wonderful idea

$5 million and we promise not to investigate your background! Golden Mafia Card Only the best criminals will be admitted. 🙄Rome tried something similar, & it didn't raise enough money for Rome plus corruption ran rampant. It was one of the causes of the fall of Rome.

In US you don't have freedom to move the money out. In order to get best out of your money is earning it one place and spending it in other.

This is not true. I can wire money to my foreign bank accounts. I owned properties in Europe and Asia. How could I buy them without transferring money from the US to pay for them?
Khenpal1 · M
@sree251 Its not about wiring money , moving assets is difficult and as long as you are US citizen it will follow your citizenship and paperwork.

What assets are you talk about? Every asset class has to be and is reducible to hard cash for moving out of the US. Of course, the money will be traced and tracked by the US Government. This capability extends to tracking non-citizens of interest to the USA.
It's a replacement for the 1990 EB-5 visa; get a green card for a $1 million investment is a business plus take an active role in the business.

Perhaps the $5 million is how a pair of child rapist sex traffickers named Tate got the chance to fly to Florida today?

Wealth is not an accurate measure of achievement and hardwork. A millionaire could just as easily have inherited or stolen her fortune. Trump is being blinded by the glint of gold.

Ditching DEI for a merit-based society sounds good.
To whom, exactly?
sree251 · 41-45, M
@LordShadowfire
To whom, exactly?

To American voters who put Trump in the White House to carry out their mandate: get rid of DEI and restore traditional values.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@sree251 And what's wrong with DEI? Is it the diversity you hate? The equity? The inclusion?

Gee, charging billionaires FIVE MILLION to be able to come here and become citizens? That money goes into the Treasury.

These billionaires then become part of that class of American that PAY NINETY PERCENT OF ALL TAXES. (Hint, MORE revenue to the Treasury.)

And in the process, these Billionaires EXPAND the economy and the job market.

Tell us again the down side to this. Tell us why you would prefer THESE ANIMALS
who only COST the Treasury

over the achievers who pay five million dollars and ADD to the Treasury and expand the economy.

We'll wait.

@Reason10 You know the RICH pay the least amount of taxes of any demographic. They have the money to know all the loopholes. Look at Trump, he never pays any taxes. Imagine America full of people like that.

Look at Trump, he never pays any taxes.

He probably has no taxable income. Trump's personal tax lawyers ensure that he is in compliance with tax laws.

DEAD WRONG!!!

Actually, tRump's personal tax lawyers, the Mazars firm, released a statement that since tRump had lied to them about his assets, their statements about his finances cannot be relied upon.

Mazars USA, in a Feb. 9 letter made public on Monday, told the Trump Organization, the former president's New York-based real estate business, that its financial statements for 2011 through 2020 should no longer be relied on.

... "While we have not concluded that the various financial statements, as a whole, contain material discrepancies, based upon the totality of the circumstances we believe our advice to you to no longer rely upon those financial statements is appropriate," Mazars said in the letter addressed to the chief legal officer at the Trump Organization, Alan Garten.

... The accounting firm also said it would no longer work for the Trump Organization.

Let's see. Show me the down side.

PRESIDENT TRUMP is charging the BEST minds and the HARDEST WORKERS in the world $5 million to come here, earn citizenship, PAY BILLIONS IN TAXES and create record numbers of high paying jobs.

As opposed to what? These animals?
sree251 · 41-45, M
@Reason10
Let's see. Show me the down side.

The downside is that no best mind would pay $5 million to be subjected to taxes by the US government even if he created high paying jobs on the moon. And there is no escape from the IRS.
carpediem · 61-69, M
@sree251 Yet, so far, thousand shave been sold. This is essentially the EB-5 program with a higher price tag. And they're selling. So it looks like you're wrong.
