I’m curious if your opinions have changed any in the past two months? I think the negatives greatly outweigh any positives, but that’s just me. He’s already greatly offended or attacked many of our former allies, and I think this will serve to isolate us further from the rest of the world, with a handful of exceptions. They will certainly fear us, and I doubt any will feel any goodwill towards us, or want to help us when we need it in the future.

@RockerDad What should’ve been a consequential election was just another affirmation of a deeply flawed and inadequate status quo. Our electoral system and our constitution, however, aren’t primed to enable game changing elections. Even though that’s exactly what Germany, Europe and the free world need right about now.

Can you break down why the elements in the positive column are in the positive column? More cooperation from Mexican government is the only one that looks clearly good. Energy exports could be good, but the energy being exported is non-renewable, so that's kind of cashing out our future for profits today.
The rest I'm not sure are positive at all.

As an European, I believe American economic nationalism and deteriorating transatlantic relationship would be really positive. The survival of Europe depends on stop being an American vassal.
