Comrade Kamala Harris Would Not Say if Americans Should Stand for the National Anthem
When asked, Kamala Harris could not bring herself to advocate for Americans to stand in honor of the national anthem.
Naturally, like she always does when she doesn’t really want to answer a question, when asked she delivered a rambling word salad.
“We are all, and should be, treated as equals. We articulated those principles in our Constitution. And part of what we decided is what makes a fair and just and noble society in a democracy, a true democracy, is freedom of religion, freedom, right of association, freedom to organize, First Amendment,” she said in response.
“So, that is part of who we are as a country, and I will defend it to the core, which is that we give people certain choices in this country.”
That is not an answer.
GOP Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana blasted Harris for this, writing, “When a reporter asked VP Kamala Harris if people should stand for our national anthem, she dodged the question. I’ll answer it for her. The Arlington National Cemetery contains more than 400,000 reasons you should ALWAYS stand up for the Star-Spangled Banner.”
If you didn't understand her answer, you are thicker than i ever imagined.
Let me give the answer to those of you on the short bus... People have the right to make that choice for themselves. That is what those brave souls died for in Arlington.
@sunsporter1649 Trump has no respect for those who served to protect BUT, he does have a WHOLE lot of self interest in any photobomb opportunity that may arise when a family visits Arlington to pay their respects to a family member who served and didn’t come back.

Harris said that people get to make up their own minds about that. In case you're unfamiliar, the concept is called "freedom of choice."
Oh, but you're talking about respect for our war dead. Let's listen to John Kelly, White House chief of staff from July 28, 2017, to Jan 2, 2019, and secretary of Homeland Security from Jan. 20, 2017, to July 31, 2017. He is a retired four-star Marine Corps general.

UPDATE: Actually, sunstroke, what the former intelligence officials said is that the material on the drive could have been salted with Russian disinformation. And the fact is, much of the email on the drive is lacking cryptographic checksums and thus can't be verified. Most disinformation campaigns involve salting a few lies into a pile of truth. This hasn't been ruled out.
Seems very clear to me. Individuals have the freedom to make up their own mind and exercise moral conscience in a liberal democracy. Governments and media are not authorised to interfere in those decisions.
It would be as be nice if just one Republican/CC conservative in 6h3 US 2ould actually read a book and learn what Socialism, leftism, Communism actually are and mean.
Just for once it would be neat to hear one talking about these terms and having a clue what they actually are.
