Comrade Kamala Harris Would Not Say if Americans Should Stand for the National Anthem
When asked, Kamala Harris could not bring herself to advocate for Americans to stand in honor of the national anthem.
Naturally, like she always does when she doesn’t really want to answer a question, when asked she delivered a rambling word salad.
“We are all, and should be, treated as equals. We articulated those principles in our Constitution. And part of what we decided is what makes a fair and just and noble society in a democracy, a true democracy, is freedom of religion, freedom, right of association, freedom to organize, First Amendment,” she said in response.
“So, that is part of who we are as a country, and I will defend it to the core, which is that we give people certain choices in this country.”
That is not an answer.
GOP Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana blasted Harris for this, writing, “When a reporter asked VP Kamala Harris if people should stand for our national anthem, she dodged the question. I’ll answer it for her. The Arlington National Cemetery contains more than 400,000 reasons you should ALWAYS stand up for the Star-Spangled Banner.”

@Musicman I'm a self admitted old school Liberal Socialist, and will be the first to say that the left disgusts me to no end, they are NOT what we stand for here in the United States of America.
@fanuc2013 I currently live in iowa, a very red state, it'll most likely go 78% Trump, the local, county, and state candidates are all polling high favorable conservative, as well as the US district I live in, I have nothing to worry about. However, if I still lived in Portland I would be voting red down ticket without hesitation. In 1992 I voted for Ross Perot not only because I did it to honor my Grandfather, a lifelong FDR and JFK dem, who despised Clinton because the media ignored his sex scandals but I also hated George H.W. Bush because of his establishment New World Order speeches. I was originally dem because of Carter, I stayed dem because of Reagan and Bush, I went independent because of Clinton, then Socialist because of Baby BushStain.

THIS would NOT have happened 30 years ago when Portland was still a fairly conservative city, that employee would have been left alone, the shooting would have been considered justifiable self defense of self and others.
@NativePortlander1970 a JFK quote doesn't prove anything. Try looking up Liberalism and socialism. They aren't compatible. Liberalism is a capitalist philosophy. While your at it read what the blanket term left wing actually means.
