What effect will Trumps tarrifs have

The very nature of a tariff is that it increases the price of an import to the consumer. It cant do anything else..It means a local supplier doesnt have to compete on price as hard..😷

That's the same thing... Consumers will ultimately bare the costs

The reaction on the tariffs will be that other countries will put tariffs on goods from America, so they won't competing in price anymore. USA manufacturers will move their factories abroad

Tariffs on products is usually a double edged sword. They make products from that country cost more but the country being hit by the tariff will usually hit back with tariffs on products that come from your country so it’s a loose loose situatio.

They will reduce choice and availability to the consumer and probably encourage retaliatory tariffs which will reduce demands for American goods.
