Will Kamala Harris be elected President of the United States?

Nope. People forget she was the first candidate to drop out in the 2020 primaries with 2% of the vote. People didn't like her then. While many Democrats are rallying behind her now, Obama hasn't given his endorsement. The media is saying "it's not a snub" but they only offer pure speculation as to why. You'll see fake polls come out telling the libs "she can beat Trump!" And then the excitement around her will begin to wane as reality sets in. People will be reminded about how she was responsible for the excessive incarceration of blacks for drug crimes when she was AG in CA...then turned around on the breakfast club radio show and admitted to smoking pot and inhaling. People will be reminded of her affair with a married Willie Brown and how she used sexual favors to help launch her political career. And of course, people will be reminded she was appointed border czar and did nothing about it, leading to the worst period of illegal immigration in US history. She'll ramble on with her classic word salads, along with her cackling that no one finds cute. The bloom will come off the rose, and she'll be Biden's sloppy seconds.
Japrost · 41-45, M
@BizSuitStacy they probably find a way cheat her in like they did biden
@Japrost Dems only win by cheating and brainwashing, they're too dishonest, that is why they can never be trusted.
helenS · 36-40, F
No she won't, she's much too young to become President: she's only 59. The elections are about the Oval Office, not a kindergarten teacher. 👎🏼
The Supreme Court should mandate that you have to be 78 to be eligible.
helenS · 36-40, F
@fun4us2b 👍🏼
A kindergarten teacher is a responsible person.
BigBulge · 41-45, M
@helenS That's just crazy talk.
@helenS She will be 60 come election time, complete with old woman turkey neck.
Nobody knows the future, but the republican party is in panic mode these days at the idea of facing Harris instead of Biden. President Harris is a very good possibility.
pdockal · 56-60, M
@ElwoodBlues

You probably live in fantasy land don't you
The democrats keep dying things like circumventing the primaries wif is pissing people off
Didn't they know Biden was unfit to run before the primaries ?
They didn't think the people would choose Harris so they chose this path
Given the choice between trump & harris ... well it'll be interesting
Both have their base
Both will get votes because the other is hated
@pdockal Can you name anybody who's pissed off? No dude, you can't. In 2024, democrats and republicans are taking a back seat to the two parties that really matter; namely the Cult of Trump and the Never Trump parties.

Have you noticed how rapidly the Never Trump party solidified behind Harris? American politics has never seen anything like it before; the antipathy to Trump is that strong.

Antipathy to Trump vs the Cult of Trump; that's what defines this election cycle. Deal with it.

UPDATE

Oh, wait, trolls like this are REALLY pissed off!!
pdockal · 56-60, M
@ElwoodBlues

Yes i can name them but you don't know them and you could care less

Deal with what ?
PatKirby · M
They're going to put forth a monumental propaganda marketing effort to save what trusty voters they have left knowing most jumped off their sinking ship when they saw how their party has been lying to them all this time.

This will weaken the DNC even further to the point that they'll have to resort to cheating to install Koala and hold on to power.

Trump is moving forward from a position of strength while the DNC is moving forward from a position of excuses, lies and no solutions.

"Rats can't swim" hahaha! I see NPR & PMSNBC have already gone under! 🤡 That poor weak frail ship must've hit a giant TrumpBerg!
justanothername · 51-55, M
Yes, she will. It’s 2024, not 2020. The GOP will cluster fuck itself out of contention with Donny Two Face at the Helm.
Running out of campaign funds won’t help the Republican cause.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@whowasthatmaskedman you and leftosts are known for whataboutisms. You still havent answered the question btw. Try for a moment and stop thinking of Trump and try thinking on the person on whom you most likely will vote for. What exactly has she done that would give anyone any confidence that she can run a country And dont answer and make it about Trump
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Torsten The person I would be most likely to vote for is a woman, so that the Rowe V Wade issue gets revisted again and a person who is anything but "pure' white, so that the issues of the non whites are looked at and someone with a good education and a successful career before entering politics, (Oh,, And not a fossil in decline) Is that clear enough.?😷

@helenS I know how it works, but thanks for the lesson.

@helenS
Why is "Probably. Americans want Trump forever silenced" irrelevant in your playbook, helen?

Your rebuttal of siting voting percentiles in response to @Sensible's statement is actually what's totally irrelevant to her post. Why would you even mention any of that?
helenS · 36-40, F
@SandWitch … because I didn't read her comment carefully... 😬
I only saw
Probably. Most Americans want Trump
Shame on me...

It would be better than Trump!

How do you know these things?
@SandWitch Because we will be keeping a closer watch to make sure the dems aren't cheating, the ONLY way she'll "win".
BigBulge · 41-45, M
The only thing that could bring her down would be a lousy vice presidential pick. That's what lost the race for Hillary.
craig7 · 70-79, M
Probably not,but either way - she'll be told to lose the cackling laughter from now on.

@AmericanAvenger Yeah, no one except the people following the rules of the Democratic Party. I suppose they have the right to determine that.
AmericanAvenger · 56-60, M
@Zeusdelight The Democratic party touts itself as the protector of democracy. How they exercise a "right to determine" a candidate doesn't align with any concept of democracy.
If Republicans did what they are doing now, they would be screaming bloody murder.
Zeusdelight · 61-69, M
@AmericanAvenger So explain to me their process and why you say it is un-Democratic.

No qualities
DanielsASJ · 36-40, M
@SandWitch 5) Leadership requires a firm perspective. And She is indecisive most of the time like she is totally unaware of what is going on.
DanielsASJ · 36-40, M
@SandWitch Given the health of President restricted him, nothing restricted Kamala to show her glittering qualities to the World Forum. But She never was part of any World Forum offering anything other than her awkward smile.
SandWitch · 26-30, F
@DanielsASJ

1)Any meeting and event to which she has ever been, she does not look fully engaged.

That is only your subjective opinion. You have no idea if she's engaged or not.

2)When your President forgets the way, She should have taken command on his behalf a number of times, which she failed to.

How do you know she didn't take command each time? You don't have any idea if she did or she didn't.

3) The Whole world made fun of Sleeping Joe but at that time, Someone else was sleeping too, and that was No one other than Kamala.

Again, that is your subjective opinion, but you weren't there, so how do you know? Again, you don't have any idea if she was sleeping or not.

4)Even democrats are not supporting Kamala yet. Forget about the Nation.

Of course the Dems are supporting Kamala! How do you think she was able to single-handedly raise a record $126 million in campaign contributions as of yesterday's date?

5) Leadership requires a firm perspective. And She is indecisive most of the time like she is totally unaware of what is going on.

That is your subject opinion acting out again. Besides your opinion getting in your way, you are not Leadership material yourself as evidenced by your obtuse perspective of others, which means you are not at all qualified to make that assessment of Kamala or anyone else for that matter.

Ideally, a poet should be made president.
TheBatQueen · 26-30, F
What happened the last time a man and woman ran for office?
I will give you a hint, one of them is a spouse of a former president, had actual experience in politics.
The other is a failing business owner, had an affair with a porn star and paid them to keep their mouth shut.

Guess who won?

helenS · 36-40, F
@ChipmunkErnie I wonder if she will significantly deviate from Joe Biden’s line on Israel as a President?
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@helenS No idea -- but by the time she could get into office Netanyahu may have been kicked out by the Israelis.
Persephonee · 22-25, F
@helenS Biden is of a generation to instinctively support Israel (I read some piece literally this morning describing him making sure he took each of his children to Auschwitz when they were old enough, for instance). Harris isn't, so I suspect looks at Israel more in geopolitical terms - are they, despite the best efforts of the Israeli govt sometimes, the best ally for the US to have in the region? (Answer - duh). She's probably more capable on an emotional level of distinguishing supporting Israel and supporting its government. At a guess.

Anyway as @ChipmunkErnie says it's entirely possible Netanyahu leaves office before Biden does...

Will she be elected President? She already has been! Did you not get the memo?
SandWitch · 26-30, F
@NativePortlander1970
No, I'm saying that I can see into the future and we never heard from Trump ever again after Kamala's big win! 🔮

Donald never even showed up for the after-party! From what I can see here, Donald went home mad and slammed the front door of Mara Largo! Such a poor sport he is!
@SandWitch If you can predict the future, why don't you play the lottery?
SandWitch · 26-30, F
@NativePortlander1970
I would play the lottery, but in seeing into the future, it's no longer a lottery and therefore, it would be of little relevance for me to play it.

@helenS Candidates wouldn't use negative campaigning if it didn't work (or they didn't think it works), and both Trump and Biden were essentially doing this. Harris can/will continue to attack Trump, and he'll do the same, but she has at least the opportunity to present something sunnier as well (if only by dint of being 20 years younger).

So basically you're right, I think. I hope.
InstructHer · 56-60, M

Ohhh...I was so hurt and angry when he stepped down from the campaign! Joe said 4 years ago when he came out of retirement, that he was only going to be one term. I believe Kamala was learning the whole time as VP from President Biden. Do not underestimate her. She very much has matured since 2020. I didn't like her back then (Warren, for me) but, I've been watching her, these last few years, and she has found herself. I'm excited to see who she picks for her VP! And the rest of the cabinet!

Zeusdelight · 61-69, M
@Torsten That just shows how little you know about her or how inadequate your research skills are. As many of your colleagues have said over the years, do your own research. The funny thing here, is that you will find some facts rather than the usual rubbish you lot rely on.
