These "experts" can celebrities are stupid if they think everyone will simply and neatly rally around a newly "installed" candidate. The lunatics always have the loudest voices and they often are wrong.

People who take this line are like people on the Titanic complaining about the lifeboats.

Yes, the lifeboat has valid criticisms. We might not be able to lower it into the ocean and it could have unforeseen problems like many lifeboats have. Changing vessels at this late stage has never been done. before abd has a large element of risk.

Meanwhile, the Titanic sinking is a near mathematical certainty and everyone else can see the hole in the boat.

"We've got nothing left; there's nothing to live for; what's the point of going on?" Spoiler Alert: The stock market recovered. Comparing a boat with a puncture hole to the Titanic and then claiming anyone who advises against jumping ship is destined to drown is most likely already failing at life and shouldn't be giving life-coaching to anyone else.

Those celebs are entitled to their opinions, just as you are. The difference is they can stop donating money to a candidate, and money is what any campaign needs.
