@heavyone2 i was alive and I don't remember that, and nothing comes up when I google it other than a 1988 earthquake in Quebec was felt as far away as NJ. Last week's quake was the strongest in the state since the 1700s.
@robingoodfellow there was a "rumble" there in the early spring of 88 and another in 89...was there and pictures and stuff came off the walls....not bad but was scary for a minute. Google wasn't even a thought....then....so who knows...of the history being documented for a small "shaking" in NJ
Hahahah. True. Nothing to do with climate change. There is no real climate change. Just the normal. With them now trying to screw up the atmosphere who knows what will happen in the future New Jersey is on a fault line I believe in the ramapo valley
Another reflexive assumption straight to climate change. Didn't even bother to look up if NJ was at or near a earthquake fault zone. What does that show you.
Both posters are wrong. NJ doesn’t sit on a fault like.the only fault line in the US runs down the Pacific Coast. It comes onshore at Alaska and runs all the way down to Mexico. There is a fault line in the Atlantic but it runs down the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and is nowhere near the US.
She didn't say anything about climate change. Where do you see that? She said climate crisis. An earthquake is a crisis. Is there something confusing about this?
@Vin53 So why are you suggesting it? she said nothing about meteorology. Climate crisis covers everything, and yet you seem to want her comment to suit your argument. Very confusing.
@PatKirby It was later that day, I felt the aftershock. Obviously the others around me did too as the agape looks on their faces said that. I breathed a sigh of relief…my beer did not go flat!
I hear ya. Stopped counting after 10 of them in norcal/socal and stopped worrying. Sometimes you can hear the rocks underneath the earth crunch against each other, so when it's time to go it's time to go. Least you got a beer - earthquake style! 🍻
@SomeAreBoojums Here's the reasoning behind climate change deniers, God Almighty created the earth, the stars, heaven & hell etc etc. and no amount of human efforts can effect his holy creations. Full stop.
