Both posters are wrong. NJ doesn’t sit on a fault like.the only fault line in the US runs down the Pacific Coast. It comes onshore at Alaska and runs all the way down to Mexico.
There is a fault line in the Atlantic but it runs down the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and is nowhere near the US.

@trollslayer I googled fault lines and got all the oceanic ones. I wasn’t aware of internal ones on the east coast.
