Biden says U.S. economy is world's best. Trump calls it a 'cesspool.' Which one is right? Let's check the data shall we?

Inflation has fallen sharply from its 2022 highs, although it has ticked back up in the past several months.

Meanwhile, U.S. gross domestic product grew 2.5% in 2023, significantly outpacing that of other developed economies, according to a January report from the International Monetary Fund. The IMF projected that the U.S. will hold that lead in 2024, though it expects the rate to come down to 2.1%.

In March, U.S. private companies added 184,000 jobs, payrolls processing firm ADP reported on Wednesday, well ahead of the Dow Jones upwardly revised estimate of 155,000 jobs. It is the fastest employment growth the U.S. economy has seen since July 2023.

Trump is lying, also water is wet, sun rises in east.

Every Dem President has rescued the economy after a Republican President going back to Nixon.

@BlueVeins I agree. I would go with plan B.Thor was right. A nation isnt a place that can be destroyed. A nation is its people. The good people will find another place and take the ideals of the nation with them. Let the Maggots have the old place as Trump consumes them..😷

And MAGA responses in ..,,3…2…1…🍿
Gasoline over 5 bucks a galleon, grocery budget has gone up almost 200 a month, fast food burgers are way up, yet pay has not increased all that much to keep up.

I despise Trump, but I was better off when he was President than I am now.

@Vin53 I don't eat fast food, but have heard from friends that prices have gone way up. Of course when you have to pay a burger flipper 20 bucks an hour, prices are going to have to go up to cover it.

But.....but.....muh gas prices!!!!

Ew....I feel dirty even saying that as a joke

Now ask normal people what they think
@gol979 I believe that I did that in my follow-up reply but I am bias and not sure about how "normal" I am.

@softspokenman so because orange man didnt impose overt authortarianism sooner thats why the economy is in the pits??......well, its a point of view i suppose
@gol979 🤔Hmmm, I suppose that if he had imposed his vast and superior knowledge of business and economies he would have just snapped his fingers and we would have been living in a utopia, instantly, if not sooner. But, since no one else has those abilities we just have to work at cleaning up the devastation caused by the pandemic at slower pace. There was only 303,000 new jobs added in March. Every little bit helps. 👍

@AthrillatheHunt Yeah, thats true. Do you feel more optimistic about your state than bummed about it?
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@Vin53 I’m an eternal optimist .
