I suppose it depends. Definitely against ethnic cleansing.

Immigration.... there is a big difference between someone wanting to come to your country and blend in, and someone who wants to come in, reject your culture and establish Sharia law and a caliphate. I believe several countries in Europe are coming to that conclusion....
DDaverde · 56-60, M
@VeronicaJane unfortunately yes they were dumb to let so many Muslims in.
It turned into an invasion.
curiouslady93 · 31-35, F
@VeronicaJane Just this last few weeks, in my home country of the UK, imams have now been encouraging Muslims to vote as a block to push for policies favourable to Islam. And they've been buying houses in the middle of housing estates to convert into mosques and blast prayers from, use up the communal parking spaces etc. Never a word from the leftists who apparently hate religion. Just christianity, with them.
Then Sharia law, @curiouslady93.....

American was built by immigrants. However, they assimilated, suppressed their native cultures and promoted American exceptionalism.

The current crop are refugees. They aren't here to make a better life for themselves and their families. They are here for help and assistance.

That doesn't mean America should just let anyone in who needs help. We should have standards. Policies. Limits.

The southern border is broken. It appalls me that Americans are cheering an invasion, which is what this is. If you have people swarming over the border, unchecked, and disappearing into the country, that is an invasion.

Stop letting yourself be influenced by elite globalists who don't care about you. At all. AT ALL. They hate you, they hate me, and they certainly don't have loyal and patriotic Americans interests at heart.

This is OUR country WE determine who comes in. Not the WEF, not the Catholic church, not the many PACs devoted to sneaking people across the border.

@SumKindaMunster You said: "As I have said before, I do not believe he will ever be allowed to assume the US Presidency again. Even if he won the Republican nomination(not guaranteed) there is NO WAY he would beat Biden in the general. And by miracle, if he did, he would die suddenly from a plane crash, car crash or heart attack before he was inaugurated."

I have the same hunch. Fate will never let Trump have his way with America. The craving for salvation is what drives the MAGA mania. We are in the grip of the Devil.
sree251 · 41-45, M
@SumKindaMunster You said: "I wish he had decided to step back and offer his support and money to better people who could overcome the poor perception Trump and his supporters have in the mainstream."

I have often wondered why Forbes richest people, those successful exemplars of the American way, stayed clear from politics. The one guy that comes to my mind is Warren Buffet. To me, he personifies the good American, the patriarch whose financial success is untainted by US politics except the one time he was paraded along with Obama's White House crooks.

@basilfawlty89 Like "unbiased, reputable" MSDNC?
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
Nobody cares if these people are cleaning hotel rooms or picking fruit or any number of other cr@p jobs that aid business in time of plenty.

Its just a tool Politicians use to stir people's irrational hatred when they know they have nothing to promise them for their vote.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Picklebobble2 So big surprise the moment it gets real, you wander off. Don't waste my time with your ill informed talking points if you can't defend your beliefs and explain yourself fully.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@SumKindaMunster Yeah some of us are working and can't always indulge your neediness for an argument.
Like i said. You're pissed but can't decide where to place the blame logically.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Picklebobble2 Hm I still don't see you answering my questions here. Too "busy" at work to answer?
More to think about.........the national birth rate of Americans is less than 1 child per family in 2022. The average family size of many different nationalities that immigrate here is 5+ children. Now imagine America in 2042. With less than 1 child per family. Who is in our military in 2042 if immigrants are exclude from becoming citizens in that 20 year period between today and 2042?

Who will there be to work the jobs we say we want to bring back to the U.S in 2042........if there is less than one child per household born in 2022? Meaning..............who will pay into Social Security........to pay for YOUR retirement if you retire in 15-20 years or more years from now??

Who picks our produce.............builds our homes.......works in service industries? Are any of your kids just dying to work 12-14 hours a day in the sun.....bent over......picking strawberries for $7 an hour? Or cleaning motel rooms? Or working in kitchens as cooks? Or roofing houses in 90 + degree weather? Or in slaughter houses?

The problem is NOT immigration.............it's in the immigration system for making it virtually impossible to become a citizen.......in other words......become a TAX PAYER which helps not only the states but the federal budget and IRS system too. The border isn't broken....it's the ENTIRE immigrations system and it's laws that are broken........and that hasn't happened in the last 3 years..

RIGHT NOW a bill has been laying in the House for almost 10 months that would allocate $14.6 BILLION to close the border...hire more INS agents........hire more people in the court system to decide immigration issues like political asylum and LEGAL entry. But it is being blocked by MAGA terrorists in the House from even coming to a vote.....................because there is more political benefit to be gained in an election year blaming Biden for the problem than there is to just passing the bill and fix it themselves. And if you didn't sleep thru Civics in the 8th grade you should know..........it IS the job of Congress to fix immigration problem.............not the Executive Branch. Know the facts.........it makes it so much easier to spot the bullshit.
sree251 · 41-45, M
@anythingoes477 You said: "The problem is NOT immigration.............it's in the immigration system for making it virtually impossible to become a citizen.......in other words......become a TAX PAYER which helps not only the states but the federal budget and IRS system too."

So, you say that it is the immigration system that is the problem because it makes it impossible for more people to become a US citizen. Who are being prevented from getting a green card and an invitation to become an American? Our immigration system should make it impossible for people who won't make America great and can't make America great from becoming a US citizen. Do you have an issue with that? Or do you want to thrown open the doors and invite everyone who wants to come to America to come right in and make our country great?
@sree251 You dont live in the American that we do. You believe a convicted rapist....a convicted fraud....convicted a scam artist.... that claims to be a billionaire but he needs the cash of poor people to pay his legal bills is your Lard and saviour. If you think a person charged with 91 felonies will make us great. ....like we ever WEREN'T.. ....good luck with that in La La Land. No person with his record of already being in the history books of being the 3rd worst president in U.S. history will ever make anything great....except him in his own mind. YOU'RE IN A CULT......WAKE UP
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
Just a comment from experience. A number of years ago Canada invited a bunch of Somalis to come live in Canada. They were great people but I did get a laugh that the ones that came over were children of the rich Somali families and they had all been told that when they got to Canada they would never have to work again because everything would be provided. Of course they had to work and so I hired one to help him get a start in Canada. After a few weeks he phoned me to let me know that he wouldn't be in to work because he had just been sent to jail. He had an illegal handgun when stopped by the cops
eMortal · M
Don’t be mad at immigrants. Be mad at capitalists looking for cheap labor. The pattern is the same. Move factories to Asia or hire immigrants.
That’s the downside of globalization.
But to be true though, immigrants are here to remind you that no matter how poor you are, you have it better.
@eMortal @curiouslady93 @trollslayer @Bumbles I think @DDaverde needs his diaper changed again.
WillieT · 61-69, M
@curiouslady93 So you think cheap labor lowers prices for the consumers? No' it just leaves more money for those at the top.
@WillieT Really? So why is it every time they raise the minimum wage, prices go up?
curiouslady93 · 31-35, F
A large number of people coming in all applying for the same jobs, thus depressing wages. Whilst at the same time creating a larger demand for houses, raising the price of houses. And a more diverse workplace makes the workforce less likely to unionize, thus reducing the chances of successfully campaigning for higher wages. And because everyone is so different, loyalties to different nations, religions etc no would be able to agree on where their tax money is wasted, no one would have much care to look after their community. You'd be creating one big slave plantation.
Legal immigration...no problem.
Unfettered illegal immigration is a politically correct term for invasion.
@sree251

Lemme guess...you were opposed to the invasion when Clinton said this:

And opposed the invasion when Obama said this:

And opposed the invasion when Schumer said this:

But now the TV says it's ok, so you got amnesia 🙄
sree251 · 41-45, M
@BizSuitStacy You guess wrong about my post asking why invasion is a problem. I asked why. I didn't say it is ok. You jumped to the conclusion that I am on the other side your political divide. I am neither swayed by the media nor the politicians of any party. I want to know if you understand why invasion is a problem to you personally.
@sree251 Gonna deflect, huh? Ok, I'll play along.

So, let's start with who TF is coming across?

We know lots are military aged males unaccompanied by any family.
We know some are known terrorists.
We know some are gang members.
We know some are prisoners.

They are coming across unvetted. Do you want ☝️ them in the US? Do you know their health status? Could they be carrying disease?

What about children being trafficked for the sex and slave trade?
How about children being used as drug mules?

What percentage of illegals dodge their immigration hearing? 90-95%.
Why would they do that if they plan to assimilate?

BTW...How much money is it costing the US tax payer? $155 billion annually.
Illegals actually have better benefits than homeless citizens.

It's pure Cloward & Piven 101...overwhelm the welfare system in an attempt to collapse it.
WillieT · 61-69, M
Legal immigration, no problem. Those enticed to flood over the border illegally, unchecked, shouldn't be here. .
And there is actually a big difference, even if it doesn't fit the 'racist' narrative of a certain political group.
@WillieT Nobody said that. What we're saying is that immigration law reform is needed. Many of these people are seeking asylum from horrific conditions. They come from countries so corrupted that they can't even get clean water or fresh food.

No more we are overrun now….
Enough is enough.

You: immigrants are lazy AF!
Also you: immigrants are taking all our jobs!

We should just shut down Ellis Island and tear down the statue of Liberty right? Or are immigrants only okay if they are the right color?
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
You think it’s only Italians who make pizza ?
Where I live it’s mostly Latinos and a few Arabs . And Chinese people make Mexican food .

@AthrillatheHunt you get the point!

@AthrillatheHunt You said: "You think it’s only Italians who make pizza ?"

I think so. Even your dog can make chow mein if you are happy eating anything that look like a mess of worms. The trouble with the country these days is trash. America has become one gigantic human landfill.
fanuc2013 · 51-55, F
If we get many more "illegals" also called immigrants, our cuisine will consist of "soylent green"!
DDaverde · 56-60, M
@fanuc2013 yup !!
sascha · F
"Cuisine" is what the middle classes and wealthy talk about. Do you think someone who loses their job or home to immigrants cares about cuisine?

What does this have to do with ethnic cleansing? Anti-immigration in a strong and unified nation is preventive and may seek to protect, while ethnic cleansing tends to be a deliberate, violent, and uninvited form of immigration.

Ethnic cleansing can occur against a native population, which can include White populations. Whites are a people, too.

Los Angeles where I live would shut down if immigrants left, but being poor should not be an asylum case. That should stop.

I don't think anyone is against it. Where people disagree is how to do it.
As long as democracy itself is not threatened , no problem.

It's never been about undocumented immigration, it's about race for them. Just a few days ago a dude complained about LEGAL immigrants being a large amount of people in NY. Oddly all of the groups he complained about weren't white.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@basilfawlty89
mao, I'm not a Marxist, you failed Nazi. I'm an Anarchist.
Nobody cares dude. Just you and your like minded friends. What a dumb thing to support anyway. You'd be one of the first killed if it came to that.

@SumKindaMunster lol I'd be killed based on what? Do you even know what Anarcho-syndicalism is? Hint: I started a cooperative, meaning it is a socialist enterprises.

Like dang man, you even literate?
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@basilfawlty89 Oh suddenly it matters how accurate the rebuttals are? You certainly aren't holding yourself to that standard with your tired White trash stereotypes. That's racist by the way. 😘
I know, right? And they have the nerve to insult people who come to this country and work hard by calling them aliens. They aren't aliens. They're humans.

simply because theyre making places overcrowded and taking away resources from people that needed them first??
@Hanginginthere Resources such as what? Clean water? Fresh food? Shelter from harsh weather? Are you saying those people shouldn't be allowed that?
