Don’t be mad at immigrants. Be mad at capitalists looking for cheap labor. The pattern is the same. Move factories to Asia or hire immigrants.
That’s the downside of globalization.
But to be true though, immigrants are here to remind you that no matter how poor you are, you have it better.

@Bumbles I know, right? I would so much rather employ someone who is grateful for the opportunity.

@Bumbles i drive to Home Depot. Pass multiple white folks panhandling for cash on the street corner. In the HD parking lot it is Latino migrants asking for work.

@trollslayer Absolutely. We were redoing our bathroom and a worker cut open his hand. A real bleed. The dude wrapped it in cloth, some tape, back to work. Badass. Didn’t speak a word of English.
Americans used to be like that. Immigrants built the country.

@Bumbles Those guys are the best. They understand how the American dream works better than most native born Americans.

@Bumbles and those folks still walk their kids to school and have family dinners and picnics.

@eMortal You said: "Be mad at capitalists looking for cheap labor."
The capitalist is not the one looking for cheap labor to plant, harvest, truck, and sell avocados at 45 cents each. The capitalist is you, the customer looking for avocados on sale for 45 cents each to make ends meet.

@eMortal Oh no, better not get cheap labour so that products can be sold to the people for less, resulting in people having more left over money so that they can start their own businesses, the competition driving down prices, which means even more excess money, until even your most lowly paid worker can buy a lot with what they make.

@WillieT Really? So why is it every time they raise the minimum wage, prices go up?
