The two-party system is the greatest threat to democracy. We don't any kind of choice. It's just one out-of-touch corporate-backed geriatric vs. another.
But while urban areas have their problems, lets not forget to take a look at republican run states. Aside from Texas and Florida, who use up the most undocumented labor, these places are economically decaying meth hamlets that are reliant on government disability payments despite not actually being disabled. Bunch of witless moochers who complain about states hundreds of miles away while not even being able to take care of their own.
They want to control what books you can read, what topics teachers can discuss, what clothes you can wear, what elective medical procedures you can have, what hurdles you have to jump in order to vote. They flaunt the word 'freedom' about every time they take the stage but actively work to take it away behind closed doors. The democrats are no heroes, but let's not for a second pretend that republicans are any better.

@TinyViolins There is little wrong with a two party system per se. Just the system as America runs it. With both parties serving the same people who donate and lobby the same interests. The original concept of a two party system with one side representing the workers or working class and the other side representing Capital and a healthy tension between the two was quite efficient and flexible.😷

@TinyViolins Well, the corporate backed stuff only exists because of Republicans, right? And it's not like Democrats haven't been trying overturn Citizen's United since it launched. They introduced another constitutional amendment last year. They want it gone. Everything else you said was accurate. But I'd need some more "bad" from Democratic leadership to feel a third party would be viable. Wouldn't happen anyway. There's no viable third parties for a reason. And don't forget to look up the percentages of people who don't vote in Federal, State and Local elections. That's the issue.

Democrats say this because they know they are the ones destroying democracy. Like when they call people racist, they are trying to deflect from their own racism. When they blame Republicans for the border crises, they know they are the ones wanting the border open. They have a broken down old man trying to get reelected and they are running scared.
If anyone is a threat to our constitutional Republic, it is the Biden administration who uses Biden as a mere mouthpiece. He wanted the Oval Office and sold his soul to get it. He is a weak, feckless individual, a lifelong politician, a bigot, a corrupt politician and a liar.
He has no backbone or fortitude to challenge as a president( which he likes to be called, but is not) those he is owned by and beholden to.

@Sidewinder Without democrats, the borders would be secure, the middle east would not be at war, China wouldnt be acting up, the clot shot wouldnt have happened, and people would not still be locked up without a trial for something that did not happen, They economy would be strong, we would still be the largest oil and gas producer in the world, 84 food processing centers would not have burned, trannies would not be running amuck in our grade schools, Hundreds of billions would still be in the treasury instead of being laundered in the Ukraine, the FBI would be trustworthy ,,,think about that

Yes, look at our largest states and cities. The center of the economy and the drivers of the national economy. Red states are primarily takers who take more in federal aid than they pay in taxes. Should we stop that and make every state, even those that skew Republican, pay their fair share instead of supporting their anti-democratic policies?

@windinhishair Now that's not a bad idea. If they want to scream and yell about the 'nanny state' let's just make federal dollars even across the board. Base it on a population. I'd be glad if OUR money stayed in OUR state. A little tired of government bailing out the real 'murican states.

As long as I can recall, every election cycle, the dems come up with some nasty term to use against Republican candidates. Think back and every single election they come up with something. @soar2newhighs As I said, Trump is anti-democracy. He's already said multiple times he wants to be dictator, and he has shown he has no respect for laws and regulations. He does what he wants and if it is illegal, his Cult loves him even more for it. He cannot tell the truth--he is incapable of it, as his former White House Counsel has stated.

If you wanted a free country or a Democracy you wouldnt live in America in the first place. The non freedoms are built into the corporate world. Try buying a healthy butter substitute spread that isnt died a funny colour. Try purchasing a modern wound dressing without going to a doctor or an ER and getting stuck with their bill..But go ahead. All of these liberal Democrats guarantee Trump is going to jail because the "evidence" is insurmountable, yet they are still terrified of him. What threat is he if he is "going to jail"??? Or IS he? Maybe they KNOW they don't have as much evidence as they say they do.
