Iran was a fine, modernising country with a university until 1953 when America and Britain fucked it over for the oil and initiated a coup. Iran never really recovered and now we have religious fundamentalism where once they had a progressive, democratically elected government under Mosaddegh. Yet again, Britain and the USA shaft a nation and create a catastrophe decades down the line, like fucking dominoes falling.

I was having a chat earlier today with a friend who lived through the Mt St. Helens explosion. Communities hundreds of miles away, did not see the sun for 2 weeks, and people had to wear masks. Then an entire year of non-stop rain followed.
Imagine that, but this time instead of rain coming down, it's radioactive isotopes, blowing back on Israel, because the wind shifted direction.

Remember Chernobyl, which was a nuclear accident with a single reactor in Ukraine? It was initially detected in Sweden and impacted a large portion of Europe. Bombing Iran with nukes would be orders of magnitude worse.

That thought did cross my mind very briefly, but you can't just NUKE an entire nation. Women and children who have nothing to do with terrorism would be killed, and the perpetrator would become a bigger villain than the Nazis in WWII.

@LeopoldBloom If you remember right, US Marine Colonel Oliver North took the blame for the entire fiasco, therefore nullifying the Logan Act from being applied as he was technically un the intelligence services, and George H.W. Bush I believe was still acting director of the CIA during the 1980 primaries until he was picked to be Reagan's running mate. They thought of everything to make it look as legal as they could if caught.
